Do you really find satisfying a rather predictable and rather superfical RNC take on just about everything? This rather partisan Pubbie does not. I never looked to Rush for gravitas, because I knew he had close to none, but I enjoyed his entertainment value. That quality has been degraded as Rush puts less effort into making it happen, in part I suspect because he has long past reached financial critical mass. Thus he is no longer hungry.

I don't think Rush has an "RNC take" on issues at all, although I don't blame the Pubbies fer following Limbaugh's lead on certain issues. I listen to Limbaugh becuz of the way he can make the RAT-controlled Med'yuh dance to a right-leaning tune that you know they gotta HATE, using his 20 Million listeners to expose the feckless lies the RATS spew.

"I never looked to Rush for gravitas, because I knew he had close to none"

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! No "gravitas"?! The Pubbie takeover of Congress in '94 wouldn't have happened without Rush's efforts--the new Congressional electees even admitted it. Dubyuh wouldda lost in 2000 without Rush's efforts and the GOP wouldn't have won back the Senate in 2002 without Rush's efforts and you wanna bring up that tired ol' Lib'ral attack that he's got no "gravitas"...you gotta be jokin'!!

"Rush puts less effort into making it happen, in part I suspect because he has long past reached financial critical mass. Thus he is no longer hungry."

I listen to Limbaugh at least 20-25 hours a week (I tape and re-listen) and have since Operation Desert Storm, so I consider myself somewhat qualified to offer opinion on this issue. In short, Rush's never been better and I expect 2003 to be his most successful year ever, both in terms of ratings and the impact he has over public opinion in America. Of course, this is just one dude's opinion, but I find yer criticisms to be unconvincing and somewhat prepackaged, almost as if you derived them not from listening to the EIB but more from reading what some envious Lefty DOLTS think or want their readers to think.

Reckon that's the beauty of livin' in a FRee country, my FRiend...MUD

"Rush said on air, that he thought Hillary was a nice woman..."

You hadta cut the sarcasm with a knife that day...LOL!! Rush has said on more than one occasion that he believes the HildaBeast is a major B!+C# and he musta been cacklin' like a hyena after the show...LOL!! As for the statement--"billclinton seemed like the kind of guy you would love to play golf with and smoke cigars with and then chase girls"--well, that sorta turns my stomach and I could never extend the same courtesy to the SerialRapist, the ButcherOfWaco and the SlaughtererOfKosovarInnocents. I don't believe I could sit on a golf cart with Clinton fer 18 holes without burying my driver in his skull, so I reckon I never will...LOL!!

I think I'll cut Rush some slack on this one. It sure does not sound like a compliment to me. It sounds very dismissive and implies that Clinton is not serious and has never grown up--sort of like calling him a frat boy.

Of course, I don't golf or smoke, and back in my younger, single days I was the girl running from creeps like him. :^)

I think yer Right, my FRiend...do we really want to have elder statesmen who we can go bird-doggin' chicks with?!

"I don't golf or smoke"

I do both occasionally, but I'd never do so with a Felon/Rapist/MassMurderer/Traitor/Tyrant like Der SchleekMeister, and I don't feel like I'm missin' out on much, either...MUD

Tort Lawyers are lowlife, scumbag LeechesOnSociety, producing nothing and destroying much...no disagreement from me on that, but you should include the whole group of lawyers like the ones who help hide corporate corruption.

The point here though is that tort reform will have no impact on insurance premiums for your house, your health, or your car and that comes from the insurance industry itself which has thousands of scumbag LeechesOnSociety on the payroll.

Rush's rant was silly, a distraction from the real problems with physician malpractice insurance: physician malpractice and the insurance industry's predatory pricing practices.

Sorry, my FRiend, but I must wholeheartedly disagree...not disagree that "...the insurance industry...has thousands of scumbag LeechesOnSociety on the payroll" becuz that is inarguably TRUE; however, I am disagreeing with yer assertion that the savings from TortReform will NOT filter down to US "regular folks" in everything we do!!

Life is about taking risks and the scumbag RAT lawyers are simply taking advantage of the IGNORANT DOLTS who populate America's juries to screw folks who are actually producing something for society while the Tort Lawyers produce NOTHING...they just scavenge and loot!!

I have listened to Rush during my commute most mornings since he has been on. I didn't mean to suggest that Rush was not influential, just that he was superficial, and often embarrasses himself when he gets on any topic of some complexity. And he spends far too much time with the Pubbbies are good, the Dems are bad theme. It gets tedious, and often I switch the channel.
