"It was a hard book to write. Parts of the book were very painful to write. If there was a fury, it was a fury at all the lies that are used to justify war, all the myths of war -- all of the things we're told about war that I had to find out the hard way and very painfully are not true. And if there's a fury at that, it's the mendacity of the entire enterprise." - C. Hedges
This book is not about military war, as it pretends. It's about political war, and is the opening salvo in the Left's effort to retake complete control of the U.S. government. All that's missing is a tie-died t-shirt and a peace symbol belt buckle.
Understand that President Bush, largely as a result of his decisive approach to the forces of evil presently rattling about on the planet, has the highest ratings on record. His off-year election successes are all the proof you need. Though they spin all day publicly, in private the Democrats know the truth. They got hammered, and George, a good man in war, did it.
That is why the Democrats, the most war-mongering passle of peaceniks ever to prevaricate to a public, are once more going to war against war....(snip)

I had no idea that there was an audience for this type of magazine in Oregon. That being said, I wonder how it would play in
Minnesota.

Chris Hedges is the sum of the earth; a total and compulsive liar. That's why he works for the NY Slimes.

Water dragon - Great! I didn't know about Oregon magazine! Now I gotta read it. Really beautifully written article.
I am reading "Slouching Towards Gomorrah" By Robert Bork and it echoes similar themes.. I am getting all fired up~

"If I were asked to pictorialize the liberal, it would be as a man wearing a blindfold driving a bulldozer, building a road that goes off a cliff. The children of the marriage of Freud and Marx, they see not what is in front of them, but only that which resides inside their tormented, twisted, deformed, malignant spirits."This guy sure has a way with words!
Great article, WD. Thanks for the ping!

Oh yeah! We came within 50k votes of having a Republican Governor out here in November! We aren't all granoloa eating sandal wearing no-shower-for-six-weeks vegan hippies!

So glad you all are enjoying the article. Oregon Magazine has at least one this delicious every month! And
the funniest humor page I've ever seen.
I think the reason the liberals try to shut us up with political correctness is because there's more of us than them, and they're scared we'll realize that and tell the lot of them to take a hike.

Going down this road will lead one past the halls of the CFR...The Council on Foreign Relations.
A prime mover to be sure..since the days of President Wilson.
Emperor Clintonius...many CFR members slotted.
Bush 43 and Bush 41...same thing.
Some CFR members in G.W. Bushes cabinet were with his dad.
A recent snippit of info from a Russian newsource a few weeks ago openly commented on by a senior minister in Putins cabinet...that there appears from their side of the fence...or pond if you like...
a split..a divisional rift in the CFR..which has its drivers in the U.S. State Dept and Presidential admin.
There's info on the CFR out there that is tin foil land for sure..but there are some very good sites aswell.
It can also be a little un-nerving..cuz one will bump into CFR types like...Zibigniew Brzenzski...and others who convey grand geo-political stratagem.
..when you see China banging pots and pans for attention.....its cuz the CFR is pissing them off!

I see our military as our country's police force. We need our local police force to take care of local crimes against us. We need our military to take care of crimes against our country. The same people (Hollywarped Leftists) all have their own virtual police force, body guards, armed guards at their estates, etc. You should see all the security at the Hollywood Bowl when Santana plays. But he even spoke against war at his concert, we were there. The crowd became silent! Thank goodness! The same people who are totally anti-military are the ones with all their own armed security people.
