Humility? Is that an English word?
Thank you for your service.
LOL! Thanks for proving my point. Cuba and N. Korea are enduring reminders that SOCIALISM ALWAYS FAILS. Would you live in either country? That question pretty much sums up the validity of your so-called free education.
My brain hurts.
If people honestly worry about the environment, then they need to take a very close look at the former USSR countries. That is an outstanding example of how the environment can be destroyed.
Even in the 1970s, we understood that the Green party originated from the USSR. They were our enemy back then and are even more so today.
Did is surprise me that I was shot by a Green? Hardly! We knew and understood who our enemies were.
We knew that the USSR outnumbered us 10 to 1. As a soldier defending Germany, we constantly drilled on how to retreat. We would fire our artillery and retreat 5 km to our next prepared positions.
In 1968, the USSR invaded Checkoslovakia and my unit was defending that border. This was real and damn scary.
Even my wife had a full backpack with food and tent so that she could survive in the woods if the USSR attacked.
This was not a joke to us, and each and every one of us knew that we would die within 3 days if the USSR did attack.
Pardner, be glad you're safe across the waters. You'd be . . . uhh . . . never mind. Nearly broke one of my cardinal rules.
I was serious, by the way. There's many reasons we're the greatest country the world has ever known. None of which you'll ever understand so there's no sense in me wasting my time explaining them.
It always seems that Euro-elites always, always point to "how little" they think we donate to those less fortunate than us. While I'll never surrender that point to you, just for the sake of this point, let's assume you're right. Do you pacifists add in how much it cost us to maintain American forces on German soil? Americans, for your information, that were the only thing standing between you and your fellow pacifists and the Soviet Army. Americans that gave you the freedoms you're wasting with so little thought about how you got them. And how much does it cost us to keep American soldiers in South Korea for the same damn reason? We have forces all over the world but you bean-counting Euro-elites never consider them until you need your pacifist-asses saved.
I'm not wasting any more time on your, pardner. You're, evidently, a hopeless cause. I'm starting to think your entire country belongs in the same category. Germany needs the good 'ol USA a helluva lot more than we need Germany. Kiss Schroder for me . . you and he appear to be cut from the same cloth.
Buh-bye.
You've made my point, my friend. The USA lives the highest standard of life of any country in the world - because of capitalism. Our system even provides jobs around the world, where if not for capitalism, other countries would be even poorer.
Mercedes' choice to make land mines is there's to make. You have something against land mines? Their military benefit should not be underestimated. Todays indescriminant use of land mines by third world countries is not a negative reflection on the USA. Go talk to the countries irresponsible use of them.
Countries that allow their children to make Nike's is up to them. Here in the US, its illegal. So if you have a gripe, you'll have to address that to the communist regime in China. We used to make them here in the US, and could do so again, they'd just cost a little more. No biggie. But look at all the revenue thats being spread around the world.
People dying from lack of water? Not here in the USA - a capitalist country. By the way, do you have any idea how much world-wide wealth is generated on the backs of Americans. How about the untold BILLIONS of dollars given out every year to underpriviledged nations. Let me suggest to you that if it wasn't for the USA, the rest of the world would be a MUCH poorer place, with more famine and more disease, and MUCH more conflict, fighting and wars.
We have very little homeless problems. Most of the homeless are either mentally ill or on drugs. nonetheless, homeless people have access to the generosity of many private and religious organizations to help with food, clothing and shelter. Its really a shame you've been brainwashed regarding the generosity and the human spirit of the average American.
By the way, you're half right. I do have an attitude, but its driven by pride in my country and the truth that the USA is the best country in the world. Its also the most giving nation on earth. Always has been, always will be as longs as our system of government and capitalism are maintained.
I want our troops out of Germany!
They no longer want us, and why are we wasting our money defending their country?
