Oh, okay....I know who he is now! I've heard of the "...Stars" song. Well, I 'm going to say a little prayer for the man. I hope his injuries aren't too serious.

I'm not 'with it' as far as Moby goes. What does he/she sing?

If you've gotten a new Windows XP computer lately, you'll notice that Microsoft used his song "why does my heart fell so bad" as the backdrop for their initial computer sign-on and registration.

Other than that, his music can be described as a mix of a lot of genres. A popular recent hit song was "Southside" in which he performed with Gwen Stefani.

Not true. This story hit the news early this morning, and has been everywhere today. This is just another case of Drudge getting to something late and pretending it's "developing" to keep people driving up his hit count.

ws 12/12/2002 MEN ATTACK MOBY IN BOSTON

Moby suffered a violent attack by three men following a gig in Boston last night, December 11, it has emerged.

Speaking on his official website, the dance man revealed that he was attacked by three men with what he believes was mace as he signed autographs for fans waiting outside his gig at the Boston Paradise Club.

"After the show I went outside to get into my car," the star wrote on moby.com. "And there were a few people waiting for autographs, so as usual I stopped to sign a few things. And then all of a sudden I was attacked by (I believe) three men with mace. They punched me from behind and I really had no idea what was going on."

"After being punched in the head from behind a few times I turned around to see what was going on and one of them punched me in the face a couple of times and then they all ran away."

"So now I'm sitting here bloody and beaten up and waiting to file a police report," Moby added. On a lighter note, the bespectacled baldy played a triumphant set at London Wembley Arena a couple of weeks ago. During his set, Moby dealt quite a tongue-lashing to US President George W Bush. One of the funniest bits I've ever seen is SNL Writer Robert Smigel who 'plays' Triumph the Insult Comic Dog (and Ace & Gary) asking J-Lo live at the MTV Awards if he could poop on her...

J-Ho shot him a look like she was going to murder someone!

Moby ends up in hospital after stroking stray cat
Animal lover Moby needed hospital treatment after petting a stray cat in his native New York. Moby was badly bitten on the hand by the stray he came across in Chinatown.

He had to have a tetanus shot and antibiotics after his hand became badly swollen overnight.

He has vowed to steer clear of strays in the future.

In a posting on his official website, Moby said: "I was walking around Chinatown and I stopped to pet a street cat (as I'm wont to do) and the street cat attacked me (as they're wont to do) and it bit my hand very deeply (as they're wont to do).

"And throughout the day my hand got more and more infected and swollen and sore. But I, being relatively stoic, just went about my business, assuming that my relative youth and relative health would prevent me from getting rabies or whatever diseases were floating around in this cats mouth.

"But no. I went to sleep with a sore hand, only to be awoken at some ungodly hour (9am) with tons of pain and the inability to move my fingers.

"So, being of sound mind and body, I went to my local emergency room where I was rushed into the 'urgent care' ward and given a tetanus shot and some mega-dose of antibiotics.

"The doctors told me that cat bites are extremely serious (especially when delivered by the foul-mouthed denizens of dumpsters in Chinatown) and they reprimanded me for not coming in right after it happened.

"I write this update as a warning of sorts: don't pet stray animals. Really. My heart bleeds for all of the homeless animals in the world, but I've learned my lesson. I don't blame the cat, but I won't be petting strays in the future."
