Thanks for your effort. I just read this in the magazine and couldn't help but think about all the times I've fought with the Luddites around here over arsenic, fluoride, mercury, ect.

The dose makes the poison.

As the article takes pains to point out, it may be very difficult to use this phenomenon in a proactive manner, since we each differ enough in our response to make safe dosages of, for example, arsenic or mercury, very problematic. But at the least it should be possible someday soon to refute the "zero-tolerance" model of environmentalism.
