Minnesota Gov: Moe concedes to Pawlenty (45-35%)
all MN media | 11/6/02 | self

Roger Moe is conceding at this hour. A whiny, sanctimonious speech about how his campaign played by the rules and did not make promises he will not keep, and oh yes, how uncle Wally will win the Senate seat.

Is Mondale far behind? And to think the liberal Media was even saying that sympathy for Wellstone would help Moe as people would vote straight Democrat ticket.

Write-in candidate Ed McGaa has no votes? He must have been written in by at least one person, yes?

I met Ed a few years ago, and we corresponded for awhile about a project of mutual interest. He's a very interesting stand-up fellow, a Sioux, as I recall, and also was a Korean war ace pilot.

"I owe my thanks to God's grace."

Minnesota's next governor, Tim Pawlenty.

Ed was the endorsed Green Party candidate, but lost the primary to Ray "Spaceman" Tricomo. He was too former military for the Greens, it seems.

I remember a poster I saw during the 1980 campaign (the first time I got to vote).

It said "Gritz and Fritz give me the Shitz".

Now Mondale can go down in US History. As the first man to lose an election in all 50 states.

Democratic-Farmer-Labor PAUL WELLSTONE 5077 0.48

If Mondale loses by less than Paul Wellstone's vote total, watch them run to court to have judges declare Wellstone's votes for Mondale.

Now let's work like hell to ensure that Congress is never again controlled by liberal dems. To a large extent, Bush put his political legacy on the line in the last couple of weeks, and so did clinton. The myth of clinton "gravitas," for all his polished glibness, should now be expelled for ever. The truth of GWB's honesty, principled nature and acumen will be reflected by history.
