Not so fast, Mrs. Brady!

http://greenvilleonline.com/news/2002/11/04/2002110431021.htm

Okay, everyone, here's news on this poor little boy. He died from falling from the interstate bridge.

Hear ye, hear ye! It's looking very like no pedophiles, ephebophiles, or Gacy wannabes were involved.

Christopher, if a sinner is allowed to address a new angel, I apologize for junking up your thread with all this talk about pedophiles.

This story appeared on Mrs. Brady's URL's this morning. He fell. End of story? I don't think so. I think he was pushed or thrown. I mean, I guess it depends on whether there was a side area on this interstate bridge--or was it one of those that has only a very narrow side area, and a rail?

Thinking back to the dawn of time, when I was young, I recall that I did sit on the edge of my dorm window a couple times--and I was on the 4th floor. Stupid! I am not calling this boy stupid, I'm just calling him young and naive. IF that's what happened--if he tried to walk on a narrow bridge.

But it's still possible that he was taken there, and then shoved off the bridge. Or that he had walked there for some reason, and THEN was shoved off.

This type of murder--if it was murder--strikes me as the sort of thing that some scummy, very evil teenagers might do.

But their coroner has ruled the case an accident. I would give almost anything to know how narrow the side areas are on that interstate bridge. I think a lot depends on that.

Oh, God. Could he have jumped?

The article says they'd just moved to the area, b/f the start of the school year.

Only his family, teachers, friends, and those who knew him best, can truly tell is this poor boy was suicidal, or if he was depressed for some reason. I guess if they even suspected something like that, they would probably keep it private.

This possibility of a 13-yr-old committing suicide scares me as much as "child-killer on the loose."

Whatever the law allows-preferrably a very painful execution.

"I DON'T CARE."

I don't care what they do to each other either, just as long as they don't come demanding that everyone else bankrupt themselves in search of a cure of their lethal disease that they and everyone else knows would end in a few decades if they refrained from what they do to each other. You said and I agree, that homosexuals seem to be some of the most wealthy people in the country-how about if they pay for the research and treatment of their own epidemic.

Since it was them that deliberately infected a small group of gullible individuals of the heterosexual community, and thus babies have born with the disease-Homosexuals should be held financially accountable for their care and treatment too.

You make some good points. I know that AIDs seems to come to people who live very risky lifestyles--with some exceptions, mind you. (The babies, the woman who had no idea the man was fooling around on her by going with other men, the blood transfusion victims.)

Remember: If you take the population and divide it into 4 groups, hetero men, homo men, hetero women, and homo women, the group which has the lowest incidence of AIDs is HOMOSEXUAL WOMEN.

The people to whom you are referring--the gay men "party animals," who go around in bars and do it everywhere, so that a person can't seem to even walk into a restroom w/o having someone else's promiscuity on display--are, IMO, the primary group that is getting us all angry about homosexuals. These are the same people, IMO, whom one sees parading in the streets with their butts hanging out. Yes, they are part of the problem.

I still say that there is a much larger contingent, within the community of homosexuals, who have enough self-respect to simply live their lives, and not put their business in the street. These people are not going around suing everyone, and infecting people with AIDs.

I think promiscuity--not homosexuality--is the main propagator of AIDs. And we always have to have a fashionable "disease du jour," don't you know? Don't forget the drug companies. They have to sell, sell, sell--that's why they have everyone scared to death that we're all going to turn up with breast cancer, prostate cancer, Alzheimer's, yada yada yada. (All those who suffer from those, forgive me. I'm not talking about real sufferers, I'm talking about drug company propaganda. I know those are real diseases.)

I can't find a lot to disagree with you on in this response-so I won't.

Getting irresponsible people to act responsibly, has probably been the biggest challange to humanity from the get go. If someday someone created a pill a prayer or excercise or a chant or spell that instantly made us all absolutely unable to act anyway but responsibly-this earth would immediately become either heaven or hell, probably both at the same time.

I need to go spray some WD40 on my brain, it is smoking.

Getting irresponsible people to act responsibly, has probably been the biggest challenge to humanity from the get go.

It IS a problem. Worse, sometimes I fear that the irresponsible ones are taking over. While I know that genetics aren't everything, I do believe that they play some part in human behavior. I see people having child after child, and they aren't actually raising these children--even in the rare cases where they are paying some amount of monetary support for the children.

How can we expect these same children to grow up to be responsible people? They have a double-whammy against them: not only do they have the bad example of their parents who didn't bother to raise them (but sloughed it off on someone else), but they also share genes with those irresponsible people. (So if genetics does play a part in personality formation...what kind of personality will those poor kids have?)

Another example: When I was much younger, I sat listening to 2 people older than I, discussing the food stamp program. One of them said to the other, "this program goes against the way nature intends, it is propping up the less fit people, by penalizing the more fit people." The other person replied, "Let me get this straight. You say these people have got us feeding them with our tax money, while they sit around idly and don't have to do anything? Are you sure THEY are the less fit ones?"
