Come to think of it, the kid went missing on the 24th, the 2002 Fall Furniture Market ended on the 23rd. Tens of thousands of out of town people come to High Point for that event, which lasts for a week. Lot of gays in that crowd.

Are you gay, Martin with a "y"?

Most of us think perhaps you doth protest too much....

Oh sweet mercy, that poor boy and his family. My prayers are with them.

I'm so very sorry to hear this. I was praying for a good outcome. I knew when I looked at his picture the other evening that he did not run away.
It's a sad stage of affairs when a kid is not safe going to get the trash cans in front of his own home.
May God console the grieving family.

(sigh)...I am so very sorry for you and this family...(sigh)...I can't think of anything to even say; I just want to throw everything around me. I am so angry at the person who did this to this child. MAN...what gives someone the right to do this to a kid????? How this families collective hearts have been broken to pieces today, because some sick, selfish, monster of a person took the life from Christopher. The BASTARD!!!!
DAMNIT, and I statistically never swear...I literally feel like throwing up. I'm done for tonight. I need some time with God about this. DAMN YOU, YOU SOB! I hope the local authorities drag your @(#%&@(#&(@&#(
&Q@!)!! YOu are nothing you stupid scum. Your time will come. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaagh!!!!
I'm going out back to kick my freakin' Rubbermaid trashcans.

"I cherish my memories of being able to play outside untill dinner with no fear of harm." Those were the days weren't they? I used to roam the rural roads here in Hoke Co. NC but sadly, my kids can't even cross the street to go to my brother's without an adult watching them.
Almost 4 years ago little Brittany Locklear was abducted and murdered two miles down the road from where I live. They still have not caught her killer.
Sad world that we live in.
God, my heart goes out to these parents...........

I saw that interview on Fox too. He looked so much like my grandson, it broke my heart. Then to find out he had cardiac problems like my grandson even hit closer to home. Have they had the news conference yet? Is is murder? He also had Asthma.

Not personally interested in your sexual orientation. It is a fact that in this time, it is not PC to even raise the consideration of homosexual wrongdoing. Your voice only reinforces the cry of the PC people.

The day he disappeared, I felt in my gut this poor boy had been abducted and probably murdered, but I was hoping and praying he would turn up alive. Just sickening.

This is just my opinion, but I don't think eastfork has "a hate agenda" and I don't think he was saying anything all that out of line. The fact is, the media really doesn't want any bad news about gays out there floating around, so they are very reluctant to admit that a young boy may have been kidnapped by gay men. Remember how little attention went to the Jesse Dirkshling (sp?) story. It's like black-on-white crime... they just don't want to acknowledge it.

OMG...I'm SO sorry, for this poor little boy and his family.
I've been letting my almost 8 year old son ride his bike down the block to play with a neighbor boy occasionally but I can't do this anymore.
It's sick how unsafe our world has become.

I am so upset that I don't know what to say - just to say "thank you" for being there for that family. They're going to need your kind heart even more in the future.
If you think of it, please ping me when they finish with the autopsy.
DAMN! This is tearing my gut out!
For those who wondered about the lack of an Amber Alert, I believe I read that they don't have that system set up in that area yet. I bet they'll do it NOW!

I cherish my memories of being able to play outside untill dinner with no fear of harm. The sad thing is, FBI statistics show that stranger abductions are significantly less common than they were fifty years ago. What has changed? Television, and especially the 24-hour-a-day news cycle of the last fifteen years or so. A newspaper story doesn't scare a soccer mom nearly as much as seeing an angelic little face twenty times a day on CNN.
I let my kids out to play today. A beautiful fall Saturday in Phoenix, about 80 degrees and sunny, but there was not one other child out playing on the whole entire block. Guess they are all either indoors playing video games, or down at the school fields being yelled at by their peewee soccer team coach.
I let my kids ride their scooters around the whole block, and by the time they got back ten minutes later, my wife was beside herself with rage and fear that some pervert had kidnapped them. She made me feel like I was some kind of negligent idiot for letting an eight-year-old and a ten-year-old go around one city block in a safe neighborhood. She forgets the days when her own mother shooed her out of the house with instructions not to return until dinner time. It's a sad commentary on our times.
