Let's keep a live commentary thread going again today. The FBI Tip Line #1-888-324-9800.
All seems quiet since yesterday's news the shooter may target children specifically. It was released on various news outlets the shooter's 3-page letter to police was in broken English and threatened extreme violence. Police announced an electronic transfer of $10m as requested by the shooter was not possible but other options for transfer remain open. No one seriously believes police will actually give the shooter $$, but police are trying to keep a dialogue open with the shooter in an effort to capture this monster.

All seems quiet since yesterday's news the shooter may target children specifically. There is an article posted (sorry I don't know how to link), but a 9 yr old was wounded at a football practice in Penn. Any ideas why we are not hearing about this? Why is not being considered as related?
To: Peach
I didn't hear if the bus driver was killed by the sniper. Has anyone heard?

This is the work of the Palestinians, even if it is found out to be the French guy, the Palys put him up to it and maybe even Saddam will pay the perps family.
To: Kerberos
I did not make my question very clear.
I was wondering...did the police prove that the sniper was the killer of the bus driver?
To: Peach
imagine being that trainee that took the call and just blew him off. wow....

10th slaying, renewed demandsSniper leaves 2nd note, wants $10 million wired into a domestic account; Victim is from Prince George's; Montgomery chief says authorities are still open, ready to discuss requests
By Alec MacGillis, Del Quentin Wilber and Dennis O'BrienSun StaffOriginally published October 23, 2002
SILVER SPRING - After police pleas for a telephone dialogue, the serial sniper stalking the Washington region responded yesterday with a different statement: the killing at daybreak of a bus driver, accompanied by another demanding letter left for authorities, less than a mile from where the gunman began shooting three weeks ago.

i don't know if they have the ballistic evidence back to prove it, but the article in post #5 does say that he left a second message in the woods there in Aspen Hill yesterday, so i think it is pretty clear.

I just said that this guy is on orders from Palys. Think about it, threatening children, asassinations ??
To: MissHardihood
I think the new note is confirming it. But you're right, we haven't heard anything on the ballistics.
I'm sure many of us have been waiting for him to change from the particular weapon he has been using.
Sac
To: PayNoAttentionManBehindCurtain
too far afield. it doesn't have any of the earmarks of what has been going on here. PA is several hours away.

I have wondered why it is taking them so long to make the connection or not to the sniper as well.
To: PayNoAttentionManBehindCurtain
It's Hamas !!
To: John Lenin
All the threats prove, is that the sniper deep down is simply a coward.
Considering a police phoneline call receiver hung up on him, it sounds as though he's also fairly unreasonable in daily affairs. It doesn't matter what is done with him, until he's under physical control this nutjob will be a deadly threat to any reasonable person.

Footnote to No. 20. "Many of us expected a change of weapons". Add to that: he is back to his point of beginning, within the small circle of his first spreee.
Sac
To: John Lenin
I've seen you say this a dozen times on diffeent threads.
Yet I don't see you offering proof to back up your declarations. Care to share?
To: Cvengr
He's not a coward if he took a shot over that cops shoulder. Stupid, yes.

It's a message from god. so there !

Is Hamas associated with Pakistan? Whether its Hamas, Hezbollah, Al Qaeda, or any other militant muslim group, a terrorist is a terrorist is a terrorist.

I haven't been following the "French Sniper" theory too closely, but I heard on the radio that he was originally from Yugoslavia. What was not spoken was if he was a Muslim. There are many Yugo Muslims. It is as if it is forbidden to state if a potential perp is a Muslim. Does anyone have a good link to the French Sniper story?
To: tomkat
Why haven't ballistics been reported?? It certainly should have been back by now??
Sac

In case you haven't figured it out yet, Arafat is the leader of the terrorists. And the EU is funding him.
To: John Lenin
It takes no courage to shoot children. The shot near the cop merely proves arrogance of the sniper. Courage implies the ability to act appropriately under adverse conditions. This 'sniper' is a murderer who will only lie.
His continued behavior merely shows how those who follow antichristian behavior spiral into pit of irrational evil. All the more living proof not to follow the murderer's lead.

Good Morning Freepers:
On Fox News this morning they said the Sniper called a couple of times on the hotline and was extremely angry. He would start his conversation with "I AM GOD". Looks like he has a tape recorder at the pay phone that is why they couldn't understand his message too well.

That's what I thought....
To: John Lenin
Agreed, the militant muslim terrorist groups are all one in the same. The name differences pertain to their location. I happen to think the connection is Pakistani due to the Militant Muslim search for bases in Virginia story And because of the release of several Pakistani detainees from Gitmo the other day. Just my opinion, of course but just as good as your opinion.
To: johnnyb93
It's just a hunch I have, all the signs point to Paly payback.
To: PayNoAttentionManBehindCurtain
There were four or five shots involved in the Pennsylvania shooting, far outside the only MO we really have as it relates to the Beltway Shooter. Also, the child was "only" grazed at the waist.
To: Cvengr
Definately a very angry person. His reasons I heard were stated in the letter but that is known only to the police. I think the police KNOW that he is NOT Al Qaeda that is why they are not thinking in the realm of ME terrorists.

gotta get my fix in early - big stack of boards on today's plate.

Could be a 'Palestinian' sympathizer. I'd express the qualification differently, though.
It's safe to say the 'sniper' is antichristian. The message of abomination is only emanated by somebody who disrespects God and is antichristian.
He exercises free will, and displays a resort to violence in his belief. This is a classic manifestation of evil.
Typically evil is used to destroy evil. It might be a do-gooder seeking fame or also arrogant, but also evil. It's also interesting how continued rebellion from God simply results in a spiralling downfall.
Many Palestinians and militant Muslims also fall into these pitfalls, but I'm not certain that Palestine is the root of the issue. I am sure that antichristian behavior and thought is the root of the problem.
We have a responsibility to defend ourselves, not to promote ourselves, or to do good, but to follow the will of God.
