And this is a case the left cannot really criticize. For one it did not involve a gun but a bow (meaning the argument of the left about guns does not apply). That wouldn't stop them here in Britain. They're trying to make the government license airguns and force people to use them at gun clubs at the moment. It would be easy for them to use the same "save the children" argument to license crossbows and longbows and force people to keep them at sports clubs.
Once you fall into the trap of holding inanimate objects responsible for violent crime instead of people, the logical conclusion is a society where any kind of weapon is banned.

This is the best comment of the morning.
Artery? No, just an asshole. It's been too long since it was open season on them.
Now I can log off with a smile :) and go baby sit with my Grandkids all day without FR!

the guy probaly have lived if the hunter hadn't field dressed him :')

why would an arrow in the hiney be lethal? Blood loss.

Thank you for the ping. The car thief got what he deserved.
Unfortunately, if this had happened here in England, the hunter would probably have been charged with manslaughter for using 'unreasonable force'. The left/liberal media and the statist Bolshevik Broadcasting Corporation would also be screaming for the licensing of bows, just in case criminals or irresponsible people buy them, or steal them from law abiding archers! The fools wouldn't realise how easy it is to make a crossbow or a longbow, how popular the sport of archery is and how very rare assaults with bows are anyway.

Not easy explaining why the guy was backing up toward you. "As I drew my bow, he turned away from me... trying to protect himself..."

I vote with post 18.

I would presume that the cause of death was shock from loss of blood.

Investigating officer to shooter, "Yeah, good. That works".

In any state but Texas, shooting to death a fleeing vehicle thief, even if he was armed, would land you in jail. This archer's day was just made, but it's hard to envision a cowboy with sagging bow-and-arrow-belt :-)

Since I know nothing about bow hunting, your guess sounds good to me.

Nah, you never field dress a clymer because of all the blood carried diseases he will carry.
No need to field dress for the final count if you hit an artery and a couple of veins with on of these:
