Ya think so?
I dunno shes' really slick, she brought up small business first,
Posthumus kept saying "Who is the real Gramholm, it got old.
I just hope people saw through her slick act and saw Posthumus's honesty.

She is relying on being a women to win the election. Everything that comes out of her mouth reverts back to children in some way. I read a article about the canidates back in the summer and on the road repair issue and her stance somehow swung to children? Where did she pull that from?

What does Jenny care about Small Business....
There's a reason the Chamber of Commerce, SBAM, and NFIB are backing Posthumus.
I'll make sure my boss sees or hears about Jenny's comment on that.

She says she cares about kids, as Attny General she has gone after internet predators. She has also used her caring about children to garner support from the teachers unions.
Like I said she must be a hillary protege. Everything is "for the children".
I got really pissed when she was so outraged at the fact that little children are still smoking. Those evil cigarettes. But it's OK in her book for those same children to get pregnant and get an abortion without their parent's knowing.

Don't forget that she also wanted to save the children from that horrible Abercrombie and Fitch catalog- and forced them to sell it in a brown cover to people over the age of 18. It's a frickin catalog!!!!!! Kids see stuff ten times worse in their own high schools. Yet, no one even approached the idea that this was censorhsip. Granholm makes me sick.

I also liked Dick's last minute remark that she told the gays she supports gay unions. Now there's a good Catholic for you. What a hypocrite. When asked about her faith and how she could support abortion, she said her faith was separate from acting as governor. In other words when it comes to her character or lack of it, her faith means nothing. Empty suit.
I hope women in Michigan get to know some of her stands.

I wanted to scream out through the TV Jenny's voting record on educational issues...or lack of it(School board).

And then there is her doubletalk on guns, repairations, tax tweaking, and every other issue out there.

I can't stand her. No wonder she doesn't want to debate.

I certainly hope the people of Michigan could see through her. But I am positive that a core group of uneducated voters will vote for her, one, because she's a DEM, and two, because she's a woman. Unfortunately, they populate the majority of folks on the east side of the state.

I was waiting for that. My boss made me go to state party HQ and pick up a copy of that gay magazine "Outside the Lines"(He owes me one for that) or something like that where she said she backed Vermont Style unions in this state.

It does make for some good letters to the editor to the Lansing State Journal however...

According to a poll I've seen, Posthumus is winning in Oakland and also even INGHAM counties.

If we win Oakland or Macomb, we have a shot. If we win both, we have a GOOD shot.

And I can gaurantee Livingston.

POSTHUMUS TO GRANHOLM:
"Whose Side Are You On?"

Posthumus Stands with Michigan Working Families
Granholm Sides Again and Again with Special Interests

In the first and only televised debate of this gubernatorial campaign season, Republican candidate Dick Posthumus stood strong on the side of Michigan's working families and laid out a solid case proving that when she has a choice, Jennifer Granholm always chooses to stand outside the mainstream and by the side of the special interests.

First, it was no-bid contracts let on her watch as the Wayne County corporate counsel; then to the teachers union when she said she would "tweak Proposal A" and open the door for teacher strikes; this summer, it was to the NAACP when she said she supported reparations for the descendents of slaves. Last spring, to the gay rights lobby, she said she supported making Michigan only the second state in America to recognize gay marriage. And now, with a memo from the mayor of Detroit detailing a list of demands in exchange for his support this November, Jennifer Granholm has proven again that she just cannot say "no" to the special interests.

"It's all about a pattern, a pattern of Jennifer Granholm just not being willing or able to say 'NO' to the special interests," Posthumus said. "That's not leadership. Leadership is being able to stand up and say 'NO' when it's the right thing to do. That's the kind of leader I've been as a senator and as Lt. Governor, and that's the kind of leader I'll be as Michigan's next Governor."

"I was born and raised in a blue collar family," Posthumus continued. "I grew up learning the value of a hard day's work and earning a paycheck and hunting and fishing with my Dad. That's why I fought so hard for Proposal A, to cut taxes, to reform welfare and why I'll defend the 2nd Amendment rights of law abiding citizens. On these issues, my opponent and I just disagree.

"I was an architect of Proposal A, and I won't let property taxes go back up. My opponent wants to 'tweak' Proposal A to allow districts to 'capture more resources.'

"I fought the battle to reform welfare and believe it is important that we drug test welfare recipients to break the cycle of addiction and dependence. My opponent disagrees.

"I'm a hunter and a fisherman. I love Michigan's outdoors, and I'll protect the rights of hunters all around this state. My opponent circulated petitions to repeal Michigan's CCW reforms.

"My opponent is trying to have it both ways. She says one thing to the special interests behind closed doors and then she says something else to the voters. Well, my question tonight is 'Whose side are you on, Jennifer?'

"If a candidate says one thing to win a primary election and the exact opposite in order to win the general election, the voters have to ask the question, 'What position will she really take after all the elections are over?'

"I will be a Governor for all of Michigan, not a Governor for all the special interests. I share the Michigan values of the working men and women of this state - values of hard work, home ownership, enjoying the outdoors and clean, ethical government - and I am ready to lead."
