I agree, it sounds made up. With all the info the FBI was receiving, they actually contact the guy in Egypt because of one New Yorker's story about a cabride? And are waiting at the airport? I don't believe it. It sounds like a lot of faction.

So now you don't believe the FBI field agents can do their job?

That's what you like? A kill the messenger attitude? I did not put that in your mind! Get it out! Make room for a craving for pecans.

The calendar had nothing to do with 9/11. It was about the Egyptian flight where the pilot flew the plane into the Atlantic. The translation was discussed right here on FR.

Dear Ms. Valerie:

Why did you have to go and mention 'craving for pecans' ...

Now I am craving Pecans. I grew up on a farm in South Georgia, and we had dozens of pecan trees ... I have eaten a jillion pecans right off the ground (thats when they are best.)

Stop it with your mind control tricks, else I will have to go home and scour the ground for pecans.

Regards,

spode.

I have a few pecan trees in my yard here in Waco... and dozens of squirrels. Lots of empty nutshells on the ground. Are you sure you're not a spodeflying squirrel?

Yeah, sure. It was released in May 2001 for the month of September 2001.

Superficially, it was about the 1999 Suicide of EgyptAir becuase the pilot's last words were on the calendar.

It was about September 2001.

I agree with you. The tip-off is this:

"...A young woman he knew had come into the bar. She was tall and blonde and she gave him a long, close hug when they greeted each other. She ordered a glass of wine and sat a couple of seats away from us, chatting with a friend. I felt his impatience with our conversation; his body yearned toward her. ..."

Uh huh. Sure. In almost every work of pop fiction these days it is the tall, willowy blonde---never the notorious short, fat brunette of the evening news reports--who is whoring around.

Also it's utterly unbelievable that a rational woman would contact a mohammedan that she had ratted out to the Feds in order to confess ro him. Of course, there's always the possibility this woman is not rational. I know that rationality is frowned upon in certain circles in America these days.

All that being said, I do believe that there are many. many people living in the United States who knew exactly what was going to happen on the eleventh. Some on the street. Some....elsewhere.

I may have been in a previous life a spodeflying squirrel ... flying (actually more like gliding) squirrels are pretty cool ...

My screen name comes from the juxtaposition of two contrary words: 'spode', which in the motorcycle racing world describes someone who is a slow, spazzy rider, and 'fly' which in the same world would be one that can ride fast and well ... it is something that no one would get but me, and actually, a pretty dumb screen name ... how can anyone take seriously comments from someone called 'spodefly'?

But I am serius dammit, and you ignore me at your peril! :) Maybe I should change my screen name to 'Mr. Serious Guy, or something'.

I got it first time I saw it. The terms are not as common around the midwest flattrack circuit, hillclimbs and enduros where I spent much of my youth, as in other places, but they're not unfamiliar there either.

Well, aren't ya'll clever. I had no idea what spodefly meant, but I wasn't going to ask. If I don't know something it can't possibly be important. *L*
Now that I do know, it is important.

Nah, I can believe it, precisely because this woman is *not* rational -- she writes for the Village Voice! Between this and the kid in school in New York who predicted that the Twin Towers would be gone the next week, it sounds like at least some in the Muslim community knew what was going to happen.
