THAT'S the best news I've heard in ages! You just made my whole day! Thanks for posting!

LOL! On the other hand, I think great hijinks are planned for the November election in Florida. Sounds like someone is on the ball, and wants to circumvent the fraud.

HARDBALL!
To: mondonico
Correct! Shenanigans are not as easy when you have observers who say "What are you doing with that cartridge? Why are you in that booth?"
To: Miss Marple
They only need to go to Miami-Dade and Broward. The rest of the state did fine. Hope they send fraud experts!! Those two counties should be required to pay for the expense of keeping the polls open for an extra two hours all over the state.

Look here! Jeb is with the program! Good for him!
To: Miss Marple; PJ-Comix
Now, all Jeb needs to ensure a landslide win is to spend five to ten minutes on the phone with the King Of All Media and McBride is TOAST. That's gonne lock up the New Yorkers who winter in Florida (and if Pataki does an appearance like `94).
Let's see, who else will be in a race against a Dem that could benefit from a boost from the King Of All Media? Forrester's one guy I know of for sure. PJ-Comix, any suggestions?

This is too funny. I just heard this on FOX and almost fell off the couch laughing. After this last fiasco, they don't dare refuse to accept the help. It's pretty obvious to everyone what's been going on, this is just a way of "fixing" the problem. Of course, that's not quite the "fix" the democrats had in mind :o)

Federal election observers? They need to send kindergarten teachers into Miami and Broward counties.

I saw a very funny skit on Comedy Channel last night where a "weather man" said due to the geographic slop of the United Stated all "stupid" in the US runs downhill and collects in these two counties in Florida. Really good stuff.

The Rats stepped into the trap!! Jeb has Dubya's playbook!
To: bluewater bird
I think I heard FNC say Miami-Dade. Broward, and Palm Beach Counties. WTG Jeb!
btw--some poll this afternoon had Jeb ahead of McBribe 49%/42% with a 5% margin of error. Can we call in the DOJ for those polls?
To: Oldeconomybuyer
No, the voters may be stupid, but the stupidity is a cover for fraud.
A side view of this is that the Rats are willing to make their most loyal constituents look stupid and incompetent to mask their fraud.
I think this is hilarious, given Janet Reno's comments yesterday! Har!

Here is the AP article:
Fla. Seeks Help From Justice Dept.
By DAVID ROYSE
.c The Associated Press
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Florida asked the U.S. Justice Department on Wednesday for its help in preventing another election mess in November.
In a letter to Attorney General John Ashcroft, Florida Secretary of State Jim Smith said confidence in the state's efforts to reform its election system has been shaken by the problems in Miami-Dade and Broward counties during last week's Democratic primary for governor.
``The fate of election reform in Florida - and perhaps our nation - rests upon an immediate and effective response,'' Smith wrote.
Bill McBride narrowly defeated Janet Reno after a botched election that called to mind the debacle in Florida during the 2000 White House race.
The balloting this time was beset with equipment failures and human errors despite a $32 million overhaul of Florida's election system to get rid of punch-card ballots and install touch-screen voting machines.
Smith, Florida's top elections official, said the state is reviewing the problems and asked Ashcroft to ``take whatever steps you deem necessary to participate in this review.'' He also asked the Justice Department to assist elections supervisors in ensuring a smooth general election.
Gov. Jeb Bush, the president's brother, also sent Ashcroft a letter supporting Smith's request.
The problems last week were particularly bad in Broward and Miami-Dade counties. Smith blamed lack of county poll worker training, a failure to practice using new voting systems, and poor organization.
