Donna Brazile, who ran ex-Vice President Al Gore's 2000 presidential campaign, said late Monday that her old boss wouldn't decide on whether to challenge President Bush in 2004 until after November.
Asked during an appearance on Fox News Channel's "Hannity & Colmes" about a possible Bush-Gore rematch, Brazile said, "That's a personal decision that I think he will make after the 2002 elections."
The Gore insider added, "If Tipper's on board and his family's on board, and I believe he'll have enough support from Democratic operatives across the country, he should run."
Brazile also said she had not ruled out working in another Gore presidential campaign.
"I have not made a decision as to 2004," she told "Hannity & Colmes." "That's because I am very committed to doing what I believe is important to my own life and future. And that is helping every American cast their ballots."
He should do as well as Dukakis this time around.
This boy really has a problem.
You mean Tipper and Karenna have an affect on things? Just when you thought it couldn't get any more pathetic...
Brazile said she has no problems reporting to Coehlo, and chastised members of the press corps for pushing the issue of the Gore campaign organizational chart. "Why is it men always want to know who you report to?" she said.
The question has drawn attention, however, because of lingering doubts about her "maturity" that date from her notorious 1988 comment about whose bed Barbara Bush sleeps in. She was working as a deputy field operator on Michael Dukakis' presidential bid amid rumors that GOP nominee George Bush was having an affair with a woman named Jennifer Fitzgerald. The press was reluctant to publish the story. So she said, "The American people have every right to know if Barbara Bush will share that bed with him in the White House."
Her remarks were a major embarrassment for the Dukakis campaign and Brazile was forced to resign. It may be for that reason that Gore decided to take full advantage of her organizational skills while distancing himself from her personally.
Republicans bring out Colin Powell and J.C. Watts because they have no program, no policy. They have no love and no joy. They'd rather take pictures with black children than feed them."

"I'm a woman, 40 years old, whose birth certificate says 'Negro.' With all that laying on top of me, nothing scares me. My whole life's been a victory. This will be the first campaign an African-American woman ran to victory. And I've done it all with a combination of guts, brains and sheer willpower. In my situation you can't be as good as the boys. You have to be one more than the boys. I'm like the eighth wonder of the world."

A candidate or nominee with an institutionalized wife is not a very attractive vote-getter.
Wasn't he the guy that used to be known for the "coconut head butt"?
