This is the same person we were discussing back in June when the FBI swept through the jewelry kiosks in the malls. Remember Intrigue Jewelers?! Look at this thread, beginning at post #167.
Al-Qaeda Threat in Philadelphia?

Hey, we really know how to live, here in Florida. Never a dull moment! None of this boring "doing things right."
I was in Spain last week, and this latest election incident was heavily reported in the European press, to everybody's great amusement. Aggh.

Dixie Mom, Thanks, I could not get this to come up when I tried the search with this clown's name:
An Action News investigation reveals that a chain of jewelry stores operating in the Delaware Valley is being investigated by the FBI for possible connections to the Al Qaeda terror network.
A series of raids were carried out yesterday in Philadelphia and across the state of Pennsylvania.
The stores are mostly kiosks in shopping malls operating under the name "Intrigue Jewelers." They are all owned by Pakistanis under franchise agreements with a company called Gold Concepts, based in Pennsacola, Florida.
Coop, we believe that this is the same Iqbal that is/was on the FBI suspected Terrorist list.

Miami indeed. And, trying to leave town on the 13th.
Since the FBI knw about this guy and the 5 in Buffalo long before then, I think they may well have decided Friday was a good day to pick them up...

I wouldn't be surprised to find he decided to decamp after the three were delayed on Alligator Alley.

The law enforcement agencies sure haven't released any coherent details on the three restaurants guys picked up driving out of Naples, at least not to my satisfaction.
Wonder if they deliberately let them go to see who and where these small-fry losers lead them to?

I did an extensive search for this and didn't see it posted. Fox News had a scroll this AM that a "Munawar Iqbal" (identified in this story as "Iqbal Munawar"), arrested at Miami Airport on Thursday, had been charged with "money laundering for terrorist organizations."
Munawar Iqbal is the Pakistani who was turned up as registered agent for Intrigue Jewelers, the stores that were raided and shut down by the Feds in Philadelphia and Florida some months back, as researched on this thread:

I could not get this to come up using the search system.
This why we need to put in Key Words. I will refrain after having my wrist spanked for my usual 50+ keywords.

I have seen his name posted as Iqbal Munawar.
Iqbal is a common first name for those from the middle east.
To: Dog
No, I mean ASHAR IQBAL BUTT, a man mentioned in the top post of the thread Dixie pointed us too.
I just noticed that BUTT is the same final name as one of the med students. I wondered if there might be a connection.

This is the paragraph with the guy who has the same last name as the "Miami 3" med student:
The man in the photos taken at the World Trade Center just days before the attacks also worked at the Intrigue Jewelry store at the Lehigh Valley Mall. Two days before the attacks Ashar Iqbal Butt came to a photo shop in the mall looking for the pictures. The clerk says Butt seemed anxious to get them.
He was picked up on September 12th and was later charged with entering the country on a false passport just a month before the attacks.
