Is the spill up-river from Oak Ridge?

Well, the town is just southwest of Knoxville

Oak Ridge is North/Northwest of Farragut. The accident is almost due south of Oak Ridge. About 19 road miles, but probably about ten "as the crow flies" miles from where I'm at right now.

Yeah... I was referring to Farragut's location in relation to Knoxville... I knew Oak Ridge was north/northwest of there, but I didn't realize it was actually taht close... thanks :0)

Oak Ridge used to rely on dead vegetation in the area as an indicator if they had a hot leak somewhere in their material handling procedures. Always frustrating to conduct a radiological survey and discover the pine tree next to the federal crdit union was hot or fly over the buried secure low radiation hazard disposal site and observe all the grass has died over the 'safe area'.

Now this surely isn't going to improve things ..none (double negative intended for all you good ol'boy types)

Maybe sulfuric acid'll git rid of all them PCB-laden catfish down in the lake and allowus to eat what we catch agin. ;^)

Is it really hot in TN today. I read when the temp gets above 90 the tracks can expand and cause this sort of accident.
