"Without a budget resolution Democrat Senators, such as Barbara Milkuski (D-MD), feel that they now have carte blanche to spend your money."They do?
"As Chairman of the appropriations subcommittee that funds the departments of Veterans Affairs and Housing and Urban Development, she is steering hundreds of millions of federal dollars to states represented by eight of the most vulnerable Democrat lawmakers up for reelection this fall."
NOT if Dubya does what his predecessor did under similar -- albeit inverse -- circumstances.
Simply shut this government down!!
She won't be spending, diverting, directing anything, anywhere, then.
Naturally, the Liberal-Socialist Lamestream media carp will inversely *spin* the reason(s) for such a shut down exactly 180o from when their *boy* Clintigula, "The Sink Emporer," did the exact same thing.
That's simply a *gimme* our guys must anticipate from the very onset, too.
Except this time, 'round?
There's ONE all-important difference the Liberal-Socialist Lamestream goons will have to *deal with*.
A BIG difference lies between silencing a Speaker of the House; &, silencing a sitting POTUS.
Our guy has the Bully Pulpit; &, as has been often said so many, many times before in this man's tenure??
Dubya must USE that Bully Pulpit; taking his reason(s) directly TO the people!
The same people who've given him some mighty impressive, sustained approval numbers over the past year or so.
...& right-on past the Liberal-Socialist Lamestream ghouls.

"...she is steering hundreds of millions of federal dollars to states represented by eight of the most vulnerable Democrat lawmakers up for reelection this fall." Good eye Lan. I missed that little tidbit when I read the piece. Same song, second verse; NOTHING ever changes with this crowd. The Dims confiscate taxes from the earners that vote against them, in order to buy votes from the tax mooches that vote for 'em. SICK business they're running.
I must have missed the Ministry of Information's coverage of this story ; )
I agree that "W" will have the high ground if it comes to a shutdown, buuuuuttttt, he'd better keep his boots on anyway. The "free press" will be slingin' fertilizer fast and furious...
