P21: The Problem of Liberal Government and Black Bastards

Why does an overwhelming majority of the black voting populace continue to support the party (Democrat) which they know has devastated them with their welfare-state vote-buying scheme? Is it like drug addiction, where many blacks have become "addicted" to the "free stuff" given to them, in exchange for votes, by their dealers, the Democrat whore-politicians?

I am a mother of three successful adults. All three were raised without a father or welfare. Their professions? (1)Son-Military Officer;(2)daughter-Engineer; (3)daughter-Epidemiologist. You folks are obviously bored to death and really need a life. What a senseless waste of time. Rhetoric is/would be a good description for quite a bit of the "crap" posted here.

Now as opposed to railing on against what others have said, how about providing more constructive criticism? What is "wrong" with what is said in the piece?

Or do you prefer to call names?

The situation is far more complex than noted here. The concept of "free stuff" is not shared by a large portion of black America.

A major measure of what is involved is tied to an emotional game that is played by the left, and the right's refusal to counter the lies told by the left within the black community.

Historically, all knowledge, all wisdom, all education, all truth in the black community was given from the pulpit. We have been brought up to believe our pastors, for they are annointed by God to bring us truth.

With that knowledge, charlatans like Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan and Al Sharpton, and others take advantage of black America, and use their percieved positions to "tell" the "true" story of what the "eeeeevil" Republicans are doing.

As long as we continue to allow the Jackson-Sharpton cabal to tell their version of our truths unchallenged (and assisted by the mainstream media), we continue to remain cast as "the bad guys" among black America.

I'm admittedly simplifying this quite a bit, but that, ultimately, is the bottom line.

Probably not intentional, no. "The road to hell is paved with good intentions" &c. &c.

Those with other, more sinister motives didn't object, however.

I have a real problem with the original meaning of the word "bastard". It puts all the hatred and ugliness of many unwed pregnancies on to the child; it is not the innocent child who should get the blame for the act but the idiot parents whom all responsibility should lie with. When you call someone a "bastard child", you place blame on someone who has done nothing wrong.

On the other hand, if you call Michael Moore or any Frenchman a "bastard", I have no problem with that.

A cultural change has occured, whereby even middle to upper class women have of out-of-wedlock births, inspite of their not "needing" the economic payoff.

I cannot prove it is a greater trend among black women, but I expect that it is. If only one third of babies are born under marriage, there is hardly a stigma left, at all.

I agree. There are plenty of white bastards out there as well and they do not even have the excuse of slavery or violation of civil rights in their background.

I see this as well. I work in a welfare office and I see a lot of white girls having babies out of wedlock. It's as though this has become acceptible in our society now. A lot of them lie about the father being in the home because if they claim him in the home we would have to budget his income against their foodstamps and cash grants and more often than not they would not be eligible. They seem to think their world would fall apart if they did not get these benefits since they have lived on them for so long. I think it is not just a black or white problem-it's a national problem.
