Lawyers say the sentence given to X, who was ordered to serve a minimum of 40 years, is disproportionate and, far from acting as a deterrent, could increase the likelihood of rape victims being killed.

Do these people say these things with a straight face? By that logic, perhaps there should be on penalties at all for rape. A pox on all of them, and their families for a thousand years.

One detail they probably do not recall is that the Murphys were Irish Catholics. That fact never featured in the case.

And of what possible relevance was that? And 1986? Helloooo! We're now in the 21st Century. That was 16 years ago. And note the Murphy's were not a gang...they were a freakin family. And just what was the race of their victims? The author omits that detail, despite her alleging the relevance of the 'gang-rape' case. Furthermore, I note this author, Kathy Marks appears to warrant a BARF! Alert, as she is clearly an apologist for these SCUM-OF-THE-EARTH hoodlums. Looking to get some sort of Pulitzer Prize for showing how 'racist' Australian justice is, in disparately meting out punishment. Note, however, she fails to mention what the Murphy Bros. got for their criminal sentances either. Total innuendo-laced hack job.

We're told the old-school imperialists were racists, that they thought of the wogs as inferior. But, if so, they at least considered them capable of improvement. I live in South Australia. Until the trial started the media only informed us that the youths were Lebanese. As we all know there are Lebanese Christians as well as Moslems. It's only since 9/11 that it the fact that they were Muslims has taken some weight and then it came out in the trial the things that they said and it is quite easy to see that the youths were racially motivated.

Aussie leftie pinko journalists love to portray the average Aussie as dim whitted ethnophobic wankers when it suits them and this is what the writer of this article has attempted.

The length of the sentance probably suits the crime. It is really disappointing that for many other crimes, including murder, in this country the penalty does not often enough suit the crime.

I live in Germany right now and have made posts on this topic before. Germany, like every other country in Western Europe is being overrun with illegal immigrants, especially fundamentalist Moslems who have no intention to change their primitive, hate-fueled customs. In the case of Germany, the Arabs keep pouring in because the German leftist Socialists are on the same political wavelength as the Arab extremist fundamentalists. Like cultists, they both find comfort in extremist, conformist philosophies. There is a total lack of Christian spirituality -- Roman Catholic or Protestant -- in German culture today. Many of Germany's churches are empty and are kept up mainly as tourist attractions. This is in contrast to Italy and Poland, where tourists and worshippers alike still fill the ancient cathedrals.
