Setting the Record Straight (Again) for DNC Chairman Terry McAuliffe
Statement by RNC Chairman Marc Racicot
August 10, 2002
WASHINGTON - Governor Marc Racicot, Chairman of the Republican National Committee, issued the following statement today responding to Democrat Party Chairman Terry McAuliffe's speech at the DNC Convention in Las Vegas:
Once again, I am mystified by Chairman McAuliffes reckless political rhetoric and disregard for the facts. Such attacks, as those made today in Las Vegas, are a disservice to our political system and our Presidents efforts to bring all Americans together to deal with our nations most serious issues. Americans deserve a more thoughtful and sincere debate between the parties.
Democrats continue to attack on grounds of fiscal responsibility, yet they have unfortunately proven unwilling or incapable of passing a budget for the first time in almost 30 years. Without a budget our government is forced to operate without a blueprint for needed fiscal discipline during this difficult time.
There is a basic but fundamental distinction between the two parties that I must clarify. Republicans believe that lower taxes on individual Americans sets our nation apart from much of the rest of world and helps ensure our future economic success. And we believe the best way to grow our economy is by fighting for lower taxes, on businesses small and large, because they are ones that create jobs. Democrats believe that Congress should take more of your money so that Washington can create jobs. It has been said many times before, but you cannot be pro-jobs and anti-business.
This year, unfortunately, we have watched as certain Democrats, in their zeal to gain political advantage, wrongly place blame anywhere they can, and yet fail to act on vital legislation that would aid our economy. Their reckless attacks serve nothing but their own partisan aspirations. The American people are not fooled. Americans trust our President and approve of his aggressive efforts to address our economic needs, the war on terrorism and the security of America.
Mr. McAuliffe did not mention today that the House of Representatives has passed important legislation that provides prescription drug coverage for America's seniors who need it, pension reform to provide retirement security, and a department of Homeland Security to strengthen our hand against the war on terrorism. And that Senate Majority Leader Daschle has been unable or unwilling to pass all these bills.
While President Bush seeks the perspectives of a broad spectrum of Americans to address the serious issues which will determine our future economic success, I call on Chairman McAuliffe, Majority Leader Daschle and Minority Leader Gephardt to put naked partisanship aside and once again make the American people their first priority.

PhiKapMom, this is a good response. No mention of Clintons, you will note. Very smart.
It is my opinion that Clinton wrote McAuliffe's speech. Several phrases were lifted from President Bush's acceptance speech at the Republican Convention. They are trying to bait President Bush...along with Ms. Clinton angling for an invite to the ranch.
They are up to something, I am sure.

prescription drug coverage for America's seniors
I think I'm going to puke.

Let's cut Terry some slack here. My opinion is that this was nothing more than a DNC call for continued bribes from the big interests in the areas he talked about. The DNC can take all sorts of cash for votes/influence, wash the money and then distribute it to democrat senaotors and congressmen in the form of things like below market loans. Other bribes can go to trusted lobbyists who will then distribute the payoffs to the appropriate senators without fear of disclosure. Some lobbyosts have special immunity and would not ever disclose incomes strerams, as reported in a tax filing. The senate is an especially good place for democrat dishonesty because anyone (democrat, that is) eventually charged there, would simply get a modest admonition and go on with his evil ways. No, Terry was just announcing to the world that, despite the efforts to keep businessmen honest, democrat filth, corruption, and bribery would continue as normal. Between the lines, of course, is the promise that the media will continue to downplay or not cover any aspect of the bribe givers or bribe takers.

They are definitely out to bait! Heard this morning that the Colorado Senate race is turning very nasty by the DemocRAT. I have a hunch this is going to be the norm across the Country.
Sincerely hope their negative campaigning is going to backfire on the DemocRATS when our candidates have commercials that are factual and dispute the attacks like Chairman Racicot has just done.
Clintons are behind everything mean and nasty that is going on by the DemoRATS IMHO! McAuliffe is nothing more than their puppet!

Good response - but it does need broader play on the media.
Every word from McCaulliffe's slimey mouth is being dictated by Hitlery Clinton.
We need to:
Get money to the people who can run counter ads.
Get active locally
Get people registered who will fight the slime with their votes!
To: PhiKapMom
Thanks for the ping! Marc's response was excellent. Very measured and factual. The opposite of mcauliffe's clinton-written and approved hate-filled, lie-filled diatribe. We really must unite in this fight to overcome the lies of the left. Voting has never been more important. We should not spend our time with infighting. We should gather together and win.
To: Miss Marple
No doubt the Clintons' dirty fingerprints are all over this, as well as the other stuff McAuliffe has been spouting lately.
I trust the President will keep his cool and now allow himself to take the bait.

I've gotta run to the bathroom, FOX just played parts of Osama bil Clinton's speech, as read by Terry (Global Crossing) McAuliffe, chief democRATic ethicist. I'm feeling ill.
To: Miss Marple
It's time to start hitting back.
We've got some good stuff that could really hit home. Clinton's on an audiotape refusing to accept an offer to turn bin Laden over. Maybe some front group can run that ad...

The money is pouring into the DNC. Loral CEO Bernard Schwartz has given over $1 million this election cycle. The GOP better be ready, they want the house bad.

IMHO, Mr. Racicot needs to be allowed to take off the gloves vis a vis McAuliffe and aggressively point out what a corrupt ClintonWhore this loser actually is!! McAuliffe is Slick's ButtBuddy and deserves to be exposed for what he is...and who better to do this than his counterpart in the GOP?!
If we can help make Terry "The Punk" McAuliffe the Face of the DemonRAT Party this Autumn, we will have gone a long way towards insuring the retaking of the Senate and retaining the House, IMHO.
FReegards...MUD
To: Miss Marple
Rush made the same point today about Terry, the Clinton mouthpiece. If you listen carefully, you can hear Bill Clintoon spewing the garbage he feels he cannot say in public.
Let's see what sort of media coverage the RNC response will get in comparison to the McAuliffe rant. Fox News is hammering McAuliffe already. Hannity and O'Reilly should be interesting this evening.
Oh, also agree in the wisdom of excluding reference to the evil one as well.
To: PhiKapMom
Did anyone else hear about the bus McAulliffe was on? Is it a fund raising bus? Why would you need mirrors on the ceiling of a political bus anyway? Just let them go on and the sleaze will come out. I think I saw this on newsmax.com. Amazing just amazing. Did anyone else read this or hear about it?

Some enterprising Freeper sent me an email with a Must Read Important FR Update so like an idiot, I downloaded the "Important FR Update" and I got a virus that crashed the computer. It made my icons dance and then wouldn't allow the computer to boot.
Saved my document files but my email account where I had the ping list stored was not part of what could be recovered from from email account. I did recover a lot but that was not part of it. Now I have my list on my hard drive and in a printout so that doesn't happen again!!!!!
Was not happy but some disruptor who thought they were being smart is not going to keep me from putting my list back together and being more determined than ever to spread the word!
Have a good one!

I know that the press is freezing out the Republicans (according to the honorable Tom DeLay) while printing every DNC press release. It's rotten. It's Hitler-esque.
E-mail AP, and ask them to print the Republican response. It's the least they can do after printing more than 5 different Ron Fournier opinion pieces (McAuliffe lies) posing as articles this weekend alone.

I've learned through the era of Clinton, that when they squeal the loudest they are at their most desperate. When they blame others it is because they are the reason for the blame.
Again, McAuliffe, is Clinton's patsy, complete with kneepads. His mindless speech clearly indicates that the democrat chairman and his ghost writer cannot come up with any viable solutions to problems they constantly whine about and must steal (like they tried to steal the 2000 Presidential election) prominent republican speeches and ideas to even begin to utter a coherent thought.

Excellent commentary regarding Democrats, by FReeper "yoe": To: MeeknMing
Democrats are a strange bunch especially their leaders. They complain about politics of personnel destruction when that is how they try to divide the country. They have little pride in America, it seems that the American people serve for their pleasure only. If you don't cotton to the democratic line, you aren't American. They used the surplus for other countries and other people when there was much to do here at home. They take our best technologies and sell them to nations that will use the knowledge against us. They lack an enormous amount of integrity and don't seem to care as they flaunt sleazy ethics and morality in our faces.
We didn't have a government for the people under the Clinton administration, what we had was a Democrats Only need apply type of government and now they are attempting to replace a People's Government with their tired old arguments about an education system they didn't fix in 8 years, a health care program they messed up and couldn't fix in 8 years, a social security system they say needs fixing and did nothing about it in 8 years when in reality that system is fine as long as lawmakers don't spend the money that social security is meant for; they spent 8 years hiring federal workers with no qualifications as long as it meant a democratic vote leaving behind a dumbed down, bloated army of sleazy federal laborers who have plundered their departments of millions in dollars and equipment.
Democrats seem to have no respect, no real base from which true justice can spring, only justice that bends for them. They have no enthusiasm for country/nation, no pride, just the spoils from a rich nation for the DNC. They continue to huddle with shady and corrupt people both here in America and abroad for reasons that only benefit them. They are elitists and exclude the real Americans as they race for the Marxist Utopia they have dreamed about...where individual successes are discouraged in favor of a commune like population. They have learned nothing from failed socialism or failed communism; they still want to live like kings all the while painting a glowing picture of togetherness for the masses who work for them. It is called Slavery, servitude to a few at the top, domination over the people through higher taxes and rules and regulations. Democrats want a Unionized nation/world of bondage and they can surely have it by dividing the country with the deceptive lies they and the press propagandize with daily.
Stand tall Americans and stand firmly for the principals of our Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, both of which are like the fabled Vampires silver cross or spike to the leading democrats, they don't want you to have either; it is these people who would return this country to the quagmire of corruption of the Clinton/Gore/Reno years.

House Majority Leader Dick Armey today called upon Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle to vote on 50 bills that have passed the House and are stalled in the Senate.
"The American people want action," said Armey. "They don't want political posturing. The Democrat-led Senate has a responsibility to vote on legislation. In fact, it's their job."

If it doesn't fit, you must obstruct it !
