I'm afraid you might be right. If blowing up innocent people over and over again is considered an acceptable response to an occupation, then blowing up the society that creates the suicide bombers must also be an acceptable response.

The leftists are far too harsh on Israel as far as this goes. Blowing people up by the score in civilian environments is simply animalistic, satanic, evil beyond all comprehension. What can a civilized people do in response? Short of totally annihilating their society, they must simply send them packing. Give them fair warning -- 24 hours to leave the West Bank, and in 24 hours start destroying everything in sight.

I don't know if you were out of line. It's true many of the bombers just kill themselves. Thank God when they do. But in many cases, like today, many people die and scores are injured. Those nail bombs are especially brutal. What possible solution is there? I don't believe that these people suddenly appeared 18 months ago. They were always there, taking order to stand down while Arafat entrenched himself. Now that he's made himself both irrelevant to Israel and impossible to remove, he has unleashed the war he always wanted to fight.

The only way to guarantee victory against the terrorists is for the Israeli people to put aside their trivial differences and unite. Reasonable question? I hadn't considered that solution. My answer is; 1. I would rather have the Israelis than the Arabs in the USofA, 2. The Arabs are there among their own kind, 3.
