I see a modern day reverse parallel in Cuba. Homosexuals travel there and tout Cuba as a more liberal, accepting society compared to "moralistic" U.S., but they overlook how brutal Cuba is and has been to homosexuals. I noticed in the 80's Mariel that it was mostly "femme" homosexuals being discriminated against in Cuba, to the point of the government forcing them to undergo shots of the HIV virus, never a peep from the left!

Hitler wasn't a REMF. He won a wound badge AND the Iron Cross during WW-1. The Imperial German Army generally didn't give out Iron Crosses to privates unless they earned them. Hitler was a Corporal when the war ended,again showing he didn't exactly have friends in high places.
