I'm going to have to learn how to spell Marc's last name, because he's going to be coming up a lot.....
This quiet polished gentleman just whispered away the horrors of terrible Terry today on Meet The Press.
This unassuming man is like Jack the Giant Killer: Reserved, polite, and devistaing.....

Terrible had to be more calm than he normally is because he would have looked foolish
TT would rave and then Marc would say, ..."if you're trying to manufacture something where nothing exists like Terry is..."
and on and on....
To: The Wizard
I think Terry is Carville with a wig.

Terrible Terry got a very subtle spanking. Rocicot (spelling?) is Very Smooth and impressive.

McAuliffe looked like a buffoon. Watching him stammer for the first couple of minutes circleing the questions was precious. If I was a registered Dem (when that day comes I head on down to hell and sprinkle rock salt where it froze over) I would be humiliated that this imbecile is leading the party.

that's what I mean ...it's pronounced rosco...but I'll be damned if I know how to spell it..
To: Druidstl
good point....he looked out of his depth, and you can tell you won't be able to shout old Marc down, he'll just look at you and wait and cut you down with courtesy and whispers...

McCauliff certainly didn't want to get into a discussion about tax cuts, that's for sure. He knows it will be divisive in his party (the RAT party).
To: The Wizard
It's spelled Rasicot I believe, and you want to say Ras-ih-cot, but it's pronounced differently than it looks.

I liked it when Russert kept asking him if the DNC would return it's Enron contributions. Terry's only responses were that they didn't receive any since he was in charge. When asked about all the monies received prior to that, he said it wasn't appropriate for him to decide about that because he wasn't in charge then. This weasel is no party leader.
To: TroutStalker
That is the biggest thing I noticed and roared with laughter about this morning. McAwful's own tax increase policy has done a 180 in just a couple of weeks. Shortly after the ill-fated Daschle economic speech, McAwful was the FIRST RAT I saw on TV speaking to the need for "rolling-back" last years tax cut. If Daschle didn't say it in so many words, Terry sure as heck did on the Sunday shows. McAwful/Hitlery seems to have reconsidered that position! hehehe
To: TroutStalker
he ran from tax cuts, Teddy the K and Osama-in-the-senate
To: gramho12
thank you I will try to remember...
To: A Citizen Reporter
I was actually surprised to hear TT use GWB's "..over my dead body..." comments as cover for not rolling back tax cuts.....this was some scene on MTP today

Racicot.

A totally useless thread. I guess the only way to understand what the excitement over Rasicot is is to catch a replay of the show.
To: A Citizen Reporter
I am sorry I missed this. I didn't know Racicot would be on.
Do you know if there is a Meet the Press transcript? I would particularly like to read it, plus also see Rumsfeld's comments.
To: The Wizard
Did Terry say it was "the end of the day"?

I think a replay is run on CNBC (or is it MSNBC?) later in the evening. Also, I think NBC replays the show at two or three am tonight.
To: TroutStalker
Terry had his talking points, and he wasn't straying from them far enough to answer Russert's questions. It was "That's my story and I'm sticking to it!". And it was obvious...

It looks like they do post the transcripts
here, however this morning's transcript is not posted yet.

Tune your computer to C-span radio 90. MTP is being rebroadcast right now.

RACICOT
To: The Wizard
This is great to hear. I knew this would be the case when you put McAuliffe next to Racicot. McAuliffe is like a rabid dog and Racicot is calm, unassuming but very reassuring. Remember how great he was during the Florida recount? Racicot is a great choice for the RNC. The Dems tried to paint him as a mean spirited lobbyist, who once (gasp) lobbied for Enron, but it won't stick. Racicot is polite and McAuliffe is rude. Plus, Racicot is smart and McAuliffe is an idiot.

Thank you, I checked it out but I don't have Real Player installed on my computer. It will be on at 10:00pm tonight on CNBC. I may record it to see what folks are talking about.
To: The Wizard
The RAT was asked by Tim Russett if he was going to return the money that Enron had donated to the DNC. RAT replied that it didn't happen on his watch. He was asked the same question twice and RAT weasled out of saying they would return any $$ to the Enron Corp. Racicot was asked the same ? about the RNC. And guess what? A check was returned to Enron due to the problems their employees were experiencing financially. Hmmm. at least we answered the question. Marc Racicot has been underestimated much in the same way that President Bush was. He will be an outstanding leader for our party.

very nice Mr. Racicot
To: The Wizard
Not that it is germane at all; but he is as hunky as he is smart. And Terry Mc.... is as low rent as he is inarticulate. GO MR. RASCIOT (SP?), GO!
To: Aedammair
Just watching lanny and Carevil, Begalla and the other slimes we were forced to endure the past 8 years, and then looking at Bush, Racicot, Cheney, Rumsfeld......It's easy to see why they are loved and America has tired of the old looser criminals who were here for 8 LONG years.....
And with terrible terry and Osama Bin Dasshole and the nazi, expect to see a GOP house and Senate in December
To: The Wizard
Every time these defenders of the indefensible raise their ugly heads in public it only helps to remind Americans how lucky we are to have PRESIDENT GEORGE W BUSH
To: OldFriend
Go Bush, Go
To: cksharks
Nope, no one had to break my arm to read this thread. The title caught my attention so I thought by reading it I might learn how a soft spoken Marc R. blanked Terrible Terry. I was wrong; the thread did no such thing. Its a useless thread, as in replying to you is probably just as useless--but I did it anyway.

sampler of corruption....perfect
To: The Wizard
The first thing I learned about the clintons was that when it came to corruption, there was "no bottom to it"- the longer you dug, the deeper it got, and there was never an end to it.
Dig deeper, find more.
