Behave yourselves around our sweet little gray-haired grandmothers or they'll kick some manners into your ass just like they did oursLMAO I love it.

I liked the part best about Lee. It's true. If Lee had listened to good advice, then the south probably would've continued it's string of victories and could've prevailed in that war.The South lost the war when Stonewall Jackson died.

"Do you know why they don't sweeten their tea in Virginia?"
Well, you have to understand that Virginia is pretty much a northern state these days.

Like Hank Jr. said: "We'd put Florida on the right track, and take Miami back!"
To: Lee'sGhost
"you have to understand that Virginia is pretty much a northern state these days" The northern part of Virginia was always more northern than southern. The rest is distinctly southern. Sweet tea was always less prevalent in the northernmost southern states.

Purt neer the ONLY sweet tea! We've got some new friends who just moved down from Connecticutt. Come to find out they drank sweet tea up there. I about fell in the floor when I heard it. They must've been the only ones.
To: holdmuhbeer
They must have had some southern friends. Also, could be the influence of Cracker Barrel. When I lived in Colorado, if I wanted sweet tea, I had to make it, until Cracker Barrel came along.

"Do friends and family look at you funny when you mention peanuts in your bottle of coke or pepsi?" Buying one of those semi-frozen cokes in the returnable bottle and filling it with peanuts was the motivation behind many bike trips to the general store under a sweltering Georgia sun for this country boy.

The only way to make sweet tea is to boil a cup of water, add a cup and a half of sugar, pour the syrup into an empty jelly glass and put it on the table along with the pitcher of iced tea, which will be Luzianne. It is permitted to sweeten the pitcher, but you still have to offer the sugar syrup.

A tip to anyone that finds themselves in a dispute with a southerner. If a southern man during the course of an argument feels it necessary to anounce his home state, you should duck! As in "boy, I'm from Arkansas, I'll whip your ass". You can be certain that violence will follow shortly.
This works for Alabama, Mississppi, etc. etc.

I'm in Edgecombe.
