Anyone wanting to gauge the Chinese response should pay a visit to sina.com, where the largest, and probably the freest BBS in PRC is located, instead of few selected cut and paste from a smooth poster who doesn't even want you to read the whole article.
For every anti-American post at sina.com, I see a few posts expressing sympathies, even condemnation of the terrorist act. Among the ones that're indeed anti-American; which are clearly totally brainwashed by the state media on Belgrade Chinese embassy bombing and EP3 incident; most of the posts qualify their opposition to US policies with sympathies for the dead.

I didn't post 'just part of it' because I don't want you to read the whole article, dipwad. I posted part of it because it is a Washington Post article and we're not supposed to post complete Washington Post articles because of the injunction on FreeRepublic. I was asked to post this by a Chinese national, and it was not intended to reflect on the people over there, but on the Chinese government's manipulation of information. China's government is not entirely unified. There are factions within it who have very different goals. China's government is also involved in Pakistan, with its main highway and with obtaining military use of that big port Pakistan has on that side of India, just as with one in Burma. I suggest only caution. While we're involved with pursuing middle eastern terrorists, we need to be particularly wary of any who might take advantage of our distraction. Lerts have more fun.
