A very competent Veep will make it too attractive for RINO Republicans in the Senate to vote to convict Trump on whatever bogus charges the Democrats bring. Not if it's Vivek, unless he's a secret trojan horse.

I see Gen. Flynn as Chief-of-Staff. I suggest Allen West as Trump’s VP this time around.

I think he means JD Vance (Senator)
Who I hope we keep in the Senate; we need him there.

Do you choose someone who is competent, conservative, and will carry on with the MAGA agenda in 2028 and 2032 as President? No. It doesn't usually work out well. Then he is all about himself. And he won't be a "team player".
To: pepsi_junkie
Indeed. Vivek has the skill to turn any attack on him into a spectacle and a viral video.

Unless he’s a double agent (as some suspect) on the surface the uniparty hates Vivek almost as much as they hate Trump (well, nobody comes close to that level but you get the idea)

But we can get more specific than that. As I wrote four years ago, the timing of running-mate announcements has historically depended on when each party has held its convention.I guess the author answered his own question

Why would the Uniparty be displeased with a “goofball”? After all, that’s what they got with the ‘fence.

?? None of those things are the definition of “competent”, “conservative” or (certainly not) “MAGA”.

They’re all politicians. Even if they say they’re “MAGA”.

someone who is competent, conservative, and will carry on with the MAGA agenda in 2028We've already decided so it doesn't matter. But that was a good argument for picking DeSantis in the primaries. Now we have Trump for 4 years (if he wins) then Gavin Newsom takes over in 2028.
