Has to have more maternity leave.

I’m thinking with litigation and everything else it’ll be 3 to 4 years before they even start construction.
I think Baltimore needs a tunnel.

(2024 is going to be one for the history books, like 1939. And 2025 will be more so, like 1940-1945.)
To: Clutch Martin
I do not like the idea of a tunnel-based HAZMAT route. An invitation to disaster, with outside help.

Most of Brandon’s cabinet are bigger nincompoops than even FJB, scary as that sounds.

I'm talking about dragging the debris....into an area other than the channel for now. Don't know the depths. We'll see.
Military can provide manpower.
In the meantime, 1000 American soldiers are building a port to supply the damn Muslims in Gaza.
To: Sacajaweau
Our Military can get it cleared in 3 days.
I doubt it, although I’ll admit I’m no expert. I don’t think our military currently has the means and equipment to do the job. (This comes from What’s Going On with Shipping and G-Captain). For one thing the ship has to be moved out of the way, and before that happens, the part of the bridge hanging off of the ship has to be removed.
If it were wartime and all that was needed was to blow up what was left of the bridge, it would take time to clear the shipping lane. There are, apparently firms in Europe, especially the Netherlands, that have the equipment and expertise to do the job, but it will take time to get them in place in Baltimore.
I would imagine it will be weeks before we even get a ‘timeline’.

Yes - it will take time to completely clear the river - but all they need to reopen shipping is clear enough of the center to allow ships to safely pass and mark the wreckage area with buoys (that other container ships can then crash into).
Will there be damage to the ecosystem? Dude.. itās already damaged and contaminated.
Will there be complications when dragging the bridge components out of the way, absolutely.
This is not the time to open the book of bureaucracy and figure out the appropriate grift and kickbacks to get things moving again.
Doing a complete cleanup? Yeah - thatās going to take months, if not years, let alone the time to put a new bridge (or tunnel) up.

I'd sure be thinking about cutting it up...
Our military can work miracles....if they're not busy...say...like in Gaza.
Less than a week.

I have no interest in Buttplugs timelines on reopening anything
To: ChicagoConservative27
I’ll say up to one year just to clear the debris and remains of the bridge. As to a new bridge - or even better, a tunnel - ten years.
