"The Sunni-Shia divide"
Could AOC even find Israel on a map?
Go to 40 seconds into the video.
They were starving people walking toward Israel soldiers.
The IDF lied and said they were carrying AK-47s and RPGs.
Old habits die hard.
She still thinks she’s
talking to a bunch of
drunks.
If you can’t dazzle them
with brilliance, baffle
them with bullsh*t.
And RICO is just a category. Right, AOC?
I’m pretty sure Kuwait is majority Sunni. 🤔
Even if that were true, I Sirius Lee don’t care. Nits make lice.
Nobody cares what AOC has to say. More importantly Alex Jones has now come out and called it a genocide. Support for Israel is dwindling even here in the US. Netanyahu has screwed the pooch with the way this war has been prosecuted and I don’t see things ending well for Israel.
Really not enough information in that video to conclude that it’s Israel’s policy to genocide Palestinians. Seems like quite a leap. This could be a few bad actors in Israel’s military in combination with folks being where they shouldn’t be... perhaps exacerbated by Hamas stealing food earmarked for civilians. There’s a lot going on over there and it’s easy to make overarching assumptions. The fog of war makes it difficult to discern. The one thing I think we can agree on is that Israeli civilians were brutally attacked, captured, raped and killed while observing a holiday. (And who knows what those hostages are still going through daily)
Oh please everyone can see what’s going on over there. You’d have to be willfully blind not to see that Netanyahu’s intent is ethnic cleansing. Israel is doing evil here and now the US is complicit in this evil. You are now witnessing the beginning of the end of Israel.
I get it. You’re OK with killing all the people in Gaza. You just don’t want to call it “genocide” because that would be bad optics.
The people in Gaza have CHOSEN to have Hamas as their leaders, the people in Gaza cheered and danced in the streets when the Oct. attack happened the people in Gaza get what they deserve!! Do you know how many people in Gaza have been employed in Israel because there is NO WORK in Gaza, GIVE ME A DAMN BREAK the people in Gaza deserve everything coming at them!!
Shut up moron. Jew hating bi%$ch.
Oh no. Did she lose her "Refugee Status"? Has all the hurricane debris been cleaned up? Can she safely return to "Paradise Island"?
I didn't check the date on the map. Was just looking for a map to show the size of Israel vs the Arab state neighbors.
"The story of Islam's division between Sunni and Shia started with the Prophet Mohammed's death in 632.
There was a power struggle over who would succeed him in ruling the Islamic Caliphate, with most Muslims wanting to elect the next leader but some arguing that power should go by divine birthright to Mohammed's son-in-law, Ali.
That pro-Ali faction was known as the "Partisans of Ali," or "Shi'atu Ali" in Arabic, hence "Shia." Ali's eventual ascension to the throne sparked a civil war, which he and his partisans lost.
The Shia held on to the idea that Ali was the rightful successor, and grew into an entirely separate branch of Islam. Today about 10 to 15 percent of Muslims worldwide are Shia — they are the majority group in Iran and Iraq only
— while most Muslims are Sunni. "Sunni" roughly means "tradition." Today, that religious division is again a political one as well: it's a struggle for regional influence between Shia political powers, led by Iran, versus Sunni political powers, led by Saudi Arabia.
Can't vouch for the accuracy of the map; just trying to show the relative size of Israel vs the arab neighbors.
"The country name “Israel” does not appear on online maps on the Chinese search engine Baidu or the Alibaba-backed maps app Amap, though surrounding countries’ names are clearly shown, according to reports."
AOC: “Those Jews, those filthy, murdering Jews!”
And Happy Purim all!. Today is Purim, an excellent day to open your bible and read the Book of Esther.
Oh, I hear you. And you’re right; most maps of that region don’t even acknowledge Israel.
— while most Muslims are Sunni. "Sunni" roughly means "tradition." Today, that religious division is again a political one as well: it's a struggle for regional influence between Shia political powers, led by Iran, versus Sunni political powers, led by Saudi Arabia.
Yes, I lived and worked in Iraq for a few years and there are both. I was primarily in Baghdad which is probably one of the few places that does both Sunni and Shia calls to prayer five times a day. I can’t remember which does which, but one does it at sunset (“when the sky is red”) while the other does it at full dark. You not only hear the calls from the mosques, but clerics on TV announce this, too.
I remember seeing locals gathered around a TV for the evening call during Ramadan, because it meant they could eat, drink, smoke, etc.
Voltaire: “Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.”
so what Palestinians do to kill Israelis is ok, and not genocide?
So you are OK with genocide, you just don't want to call it genocide.
