O.k., I’ve read your near impenetrable paragraph. Didn’t bother before, since I usually expect written diarrhea when text arrives in such form. I see at least three opportunities for a paragraph.
Nonetheless, I appreciate that you are at least a former supporter of Israel. Fair enough, I’ll take you at your word on that and not do the research.
But, you go off the rails when you suggest that Israel’s decidedly unfortunate and heavily planned against collateral damage among civilians is their fault. ham ass started this, uses human shields, kills their own, and the fault of civilian casualties lies squarely with them.
For example,

Even if we take the lower figure — 10,000 Hamas deaths — this means that the total number of civilian deaths cannot be more than 18,000. The civilian-to-combatant ratio of deaths is then 18:10, or 9:5. The UN has said that in all the wars since World War II, the average civilian-to-combatant ratio has been 9:1. The U.S. military did much better in the Iraq War, when there were 174,000 casualties, only 39,900 of whom were combatants, resulting in a civilian-to-combatant ratio of 7:2. But in the Gaza War, the IDF has achieved a ratio of 9 civilians killed for every 5 combatants; 9:5 is far less than what any modern army has achieved, in any war. This needs to be kept in mind.”
All those facts are well documented repeatedly from multiple sources. Your ability to overlook them all is a literally incredible bias that puts you on the side of evil.

We can debate about how many thousands of innocent Palastinan and Christian (Christians are being cleansed as well) children have been massacred. Even if the number you allege is correct, my number will be eclipsed as the slaughter continues unabated. Yes, Israel has been very good about telling the Palestinian civilians where to evacuate to. You fail to mention that Netanyahu then proceeds to attack them at his new targeting location. Weren’t the Palastinians told to evacuate to the south? According to Netanyahu’s stated goal of total elimination of Hamas, the IDF effort to do this has been a total failure. Nice attempted dodge but you still avoid addressing the majority of the facts I stated. When Israel is eventually destroyed it will be the responsibility of those who ignore how this Gaza catastrophe has turned the world against Israel. The crucial fact you fail to address is the staggering loss of support for Israel all across the globe. Just like like the blood of innocent Iraqis and Afghans on my hands, it will be the blood of thousands, if not millions, of innocent Israelis on your hands as this plays out according Netanyahu’s plan.
One of my points I wish you really would address because I can’t figure it out. I was stunned when it happened. How did a bunch of Hamas irregulars, using small arms, dirt bikes and a couple hang gliders, pull off the most spectacularly devastating attack on Israel in its history? Seriously, I used to have a tremendous amount of respect for Netanyahu’s supposed ability to protect Israel. How’d that happen?

That was clearly the biggest intelligence and planning failure in Israeli history. There were lots of signs. Several groups of underlings brought up the likelihood of an imminent attack.
Apparently, Israeli leadership was gulled by ham ass into believing that they were focused on nation building, not killing Jews, for a change. Leadership severally rebuffed their underlings’ warnings.
Netanyahu is politically dead. He gets to run the counterattack until it is complete, but then he will lose the next election, if he even bothers to stand for it. The buck stops with Bibi, and he has a strategic, preparedness, and operational failure for which he is fully responsible.
There will be a post-counter-attack review of all the failures that led to October 7th. I count on that being thorough and ugly. Many figurative heads will roll.
Sometimes, you aren’t ready and get surprised. Israel lost on Day 1. A wounded and chastened Israel will win on whatever day is neccessary to complete what they consider victory.
IMHO, their standard for victory (all ham ass dead, hostages returned) is too little and short sighted. The only real victory is in my tagline. I wish them the best.
Rafah will be attacked. ham ass has retreated among their civilians (a War Crime) and is among them in their last redoubt of Rafah. Israel was most recently reported to be setting up tent cities on the beach of Gaza. As Rafah is carefully emptied of civilians to the beach, the cowardly ham ass fighters will be largely left behind and subject to proper retribution.

Beforehand, ham ass plus islamic jihad was estimated to have between 30,000 - 40,000 fighters. Israel’s most optimistic current estimate is that they have killed 12,000. That’s a failure so far. Supposing Rafah nets another 10,000 fighters, it will still not be enough. Israel’s continued occupation will be playing whack-a-terrorist for a long time.

Israel faced no good choices. It has been repeatedly attacked from Gaza. October 7th caused the PEACENIKS in Israel to require a full scale invasion by the government. Being a democracy, Israel’s vast majority support for the counter-attack made it a requirement.
So dominoes fall. That most of the world is irrational, anti-semitic, anti-western, woke and therefore immoral is not Israel’s fault. The opprobrium of the entire world in its wrongness does not make Israel’s cause wrong.

Almost the entire arab world has made peace with Israel. Indeed, as the counterattack continues, Saudi Arabia is making friendly noises about continuing toward peace.
The arabs hate the palestinians, and NONE will take them in. They’ve been rousted and removed from about six arab countries in history (iirc) because they are belligerent useless parasites.
So after the counterattack is over, arabia will continue its improved peace with Israel. The palestinians will continue to be a local problem, put down for 10 to 20 years if Israel is careful and lucky.
The real problem is Iran. They want to kill Jews to the last arab. And they are messianic and getting the bomb. Their religious view is that if they can bring about the destruction of the world (say “nukes”), then their savior the mahdi will come up out of his well in Qom and lead the ass sniffers to paradise. That’s a thorough world-view that is hard to overcome.
So Israel lives in a tough neighborhood. Better that the settler colonialist muslims had never been revved up by that genocidal child rapist. But there you have it; tough times.

I’m confident that ham ass intends to kill me, my daughter and granddaughter merely because we are Jews. That’s what they always say and do: Kill Jews First.
So, I’m invested whether I want to be or not. To put my ass where my mouth is, I’m headed to Israel in May and June to volunteer for the IDF through their Sar-El organization. I’ll do work on an IDF base and free up a strapping young jew boy to shoulder a rifle in Gaza and kill terrorists. Seems only fair.
You may have noticed that there are is NO equivalent support movement anywhere for the resoundingly evil ham ass. Even their vocal supporters around the world have sent exactly NO people to be by their side. You for example. Would you go to Rafah to protect the civilians along side the ham ass rapists?
We have pretty much covered it, if not buried it. I pray that you are able to reach out to me to tell me, “I told you so” this summer. You watch your ass when you get there. I sincerely believe you, the Israelis and DC are underestimating what Israel is up against. As for me, I’ll always come down on the side of negotiation and protecting civilians from slaughter on all sides.
