“I know several business owners who can’t get refrigeration techs to respond when they have an issue.”
Don’t see the relationship between current refrigerants and the scarcity of refrigeration techs.
There are environmentally harmless refrigerants but they are flammable or ‘dangerous” such as ammonia. But what the heck. We put explosive EVs in our garages.

Commies DO NOT believe in free markets or freedom to innovate.
They believe all innovations come from the government and the bureaucrats that tell the people what to do.
Sooner or later the pushback here will be epic in scope and violence. Takes a while to get people riled up to the point they're not taking any prisoners, but when it gets there, limp dick apologies aren't going to save the lives of said “masters” or their compliant minions.
I think I understand:
Starting in 2010, R-22 was mandated to be phased out and by 2020 R-22 banned. We were told R-32/R-410A, R-134a were the answer and were environmentally safe. Everyone switched over.
Now, shazam, R-32/R-410A, R-134a are declared unsafe for the environment. In 2024! But wait, here is the solution. You just have to replace all your equipment with this new one.
You know that shortly after they will declare this new solution unsafe. The obvious goal is no refrigeration allowed (for the non-elites).
Is 'Judge' Erdogan going to fine them $0.5B for the harm caused by inflating their claims?
Bring back the original Freons! The Ozone depletion tale is and always was as much as scam as anything else the Greenies spout. Freon was chemically inert, so safer at the site, and more efficient so reduced energy costs and thus their worshipped carbon footprint.
Looked it up the other day.
There are over 6000 items
used in everyday living
that require petroleum to
manufacture.
This, after reading that
Chicago is suing big oil
in their state for wrecking
the cities’ environment.
