Yah, and it is not “too far...”. It is simply totally wrong direction.

There is no “just a little bit of evil...is OK”. No.

This is going to hit everyone, not just New Yorkers. EPA accelerated phase out of R-410A, which is used in many, many residential and light commercial systems. As they age and you cannot get the refrigerant, it will lead to huge unnecessary costs to replace equipment.

They will shut down. I know several business owners who can’t get refrigeration techs to respond when they have an issue.

Don’t forget the same folks brought us isobutane (R600), same liquid in your BIC lighter, used in all new refrigerators. Helped start the fire that destroyed Grenfell Tower in the UK killing 72. There were some other stupid design issues in the refrigerator and the tower but still...

Where is the plan to convert all NY State-owned buildings?
Gov office buildings, SUNY campus buildings, NYS prisions, etc????

As a consulting engineer I worked on many, many projects for NYS OGS at state facilities. Nothing happens fast. Small projects take well over a year to design and bid. Larger projects, several years....

We won’t get rid of fossil fuels that easily. All rotating equipment requires a lubricant. Up to now they have been fossil fuel based unless you want to go back using whale oil. But rotating equipment on whaling ships require lubricants too. Environmental nutjobs want life to return to the time before the invention of the wheel. The first wheel was lubricated using bitumen(fossil fuel).

I agree, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try it in New York just to make sure and get a good laugh.

Many restaurants will be forced to close because they can’t cook on electricity. Ever eaten cold Chinese food? also, bread production requires higher temperatures than electricity can offer. We’ll have to sacrifice our daily bread. Get used to eating BBQ cooked on mesquite wood. The disastrous ramifications of abandoning the use of fossil fuels have not been fully studied. The future starving masses will have plenty of opportunity to think about that if they have the energy to do so. Energy is the source of life and this includes fossil fuel generated energy.

If we’d vote for this, why does Deep State have to steal our elections?

Climate change policy is about saving the planet the way CoupFlu policy is about protecting public health.

And it’s all about annihilating the middle class.
