I find the matter is pure innuendo and in as much Johnson’s campaign thought the donation was from an American company, and returned the money when they found out otherwise, I think the allegation that that donation has some hold on Johnson and is part of his manner of the House addressing aid for Ukraine has no foundation in facts.
All Johnson needs to do is the admit Chuck Shumer is not going to send the House bill, HR1, for a vote by the Senate, nor will he allow a “border” bill the GOP can really support, and thus there will be no “border” deal out of this Congress and votes for aid to allies will have to be taken up on their own (which the House did with regard to Israel).
Calls to “secure the border first” really belong addressed to Biden, not Congress, because Biden can fix what he broke WITHOUT Congress, and anyone thinking Schumer will permit anything forcing Biden to stop HIS POLICIES, is living in dreamland.
The House Speaker has to deal with reality, not wishful thinking.
