Chuck is not a moron. He is actually very smart.
His problem - and I’m sure he does not see it this way, because he is incapable of saying out loud what it is that he sees in the mirror when he looks at himself - is that he is deeply dishonest, a man of bad faith. Others of his party, the Democrats, see what he sees in the mirror when they look at him, but just as he, they cannot say it out loud, because they too are a deeply dishonest party, and say and promise the nation nothing in good faith.
They do not love their country as it was founded. They love only the country they hope to transform it into, that is, a socialist, oligarchical state where the citizens are little more that servants to their oligarchical leaders, their superiors. In other words, in their minds, Chuck and his gang of Dems are in office to be served by the people, not the other way around. They are our lords - in their minds - but they know that they cannot say it out loud. “Our Democracy” to them means the political system we, the Dems, control. Freedom of speech means to them the right we, the superior ones, have to say what we want, but you, our underlings, have no such rights.
Chuckie has failed as a man.

- Republican Santos was a total embarrassment.
- Tom Suozzi was the Nassau County Executive for 8 years, so people knew him.
- Suozzi was also in Congress for that district for 6 years.
- Nobody knew who the Republican candidate was.
- It was a special election, no one paid attention

It is a little hard to follow Chuck Schumer’s logic (such as it is), but it still only boils down to “Orange Man bad”.
Everything else is argued from that singular axiomatic “truth”. Fact is, Trump had stayed FAR away from this particular race, and Mazi Pilip was not a “MAGA” candidate, rather she was a registered Democrat who entered and ran in this race as a Republican.
If she had run as a Democrat, she might have won handily.
