“Performing arts school”.
So, it’s only that kind of talented. Not intellectually.
Which also figures. mostly what Demographic can do is some music and athletics. Nothing truly involving brains or real work.
My guesss, based on my own life experience, is that he may have been on the spectrum and couldnt react normally.
Do we actually know the race of the victim?
Considering the current state of public education, I find it suspicious that there are enough “gifted and talented” students to fill up a bus, unless that was the school’s entire complement.

A “gifted” black kid just means he can print his entire name.

Many years ago when I was in sixth grade (11 years old) we had a 14 year old male in our class. He had been flunked back three times.
He was a really bad youngster and one day he decided to start lipping off to our teacher and it escalated. The teacher told the kid to go out and to the office and when the kids refused the teacher walked over to escort him. The kid not only took a swing but also tried to tackle the teacher. Our teacher grabbed the kid by the front of his shirt and slammed him into the brick wall, where the kid slumped down to the floor, basically knocked out.
Out teacher then grabbed the kid by his feet and dragged him out of class and to the office. We never saw the kid again and our teacher never got into any trouble.
