react to the Cowboys drubbing

That was almost embarrassing to watch. Then the cheese-heads seemed to lose momentum and allow the Cowboys a few scores.

The cheese heads put in their third stringers and back up QB for a few plays- during that time the Cowboys got a TD. After that the packers put their main players back online which prevented any more points by Cowboys.

I could never understand the appeal of football. After every play the players for each team gathers around and has a conversation.

Hockey is the only sport that matters.

Around $110 million for the privilege of streaming one game, most of if not all of these streaming services are losing tons of money and NBC was using this game as way to hopefully generate a profit and hopefully getting a few long term subscribers

“ This was a playoff game and it was a no show on the radio.”

If you have VPN, you can often select a city with a station that broadcasts the game. I listened to this game on a Miami radio station. I would have preferred a KC station, but my VPN doesn’t have a KC IP address, but did have a Miami one.

“Hockey is the only sport that matters.”

Isn’t that part of the Oath of Office for the Prime Ministership Path of Canada?

Or maybe it’s among the eligibility criteria.

I wonder how many people signed up for a month and will cancel now that they’ve seen the game? It would be interesting to see the comparative subscription numbers for January vs February.

Well, Daily Mail paid $28,000 for that picture so it must be worth something.

Garbage time points and fluff up Dak’s stats.
Game was truly over in the second quarter.

I get the NFL channel.

The NFL Network has the worst sound I’ve ever heard. It sounds like the audio is being transmitted over string and paper cups. I paid the six bucks to watch the KC game, and while I hate the extortion I have to say that the video and audio quality of the broadcast was stellar. Whether cable, satellite, or streaming, video and audio quality depend heavily upon the bitrate being allocated to the broadcast.

Cable and satellite are notorious for reducing bitrate to unacceptable levels to squeeze in more channels. Most cable/satellite channels reduce quality so much that they are barely even broadcasting in the lowest level of HD (720p), much less 1080p, and forget about 4K. Even streaming services often skimp on bitrate. But Peacock allocated plenty of bandwidth to the broadcast of the game, which is why it looked and sounded so good.

I watched the activity on my router during the game and could see that Peacock was streaming at a peak of about 45 megabits per second, WAY more bandwidth than anything on cable/satellite, and not that far off from the pinnacle of video and audio quality, 4K Blu Ray, which usually peaks at around 70 Mbps, depending upon the disc. For comparison, the best streams on Netflix only hit around 15 Mbps, and I have no idea what cable/satellite uses, but I doubt that it ever gets beyond single digits, judging by the poor results.

I used to be a fan of the NFL. When they started taking a knee during the national anthem, I quit.
