“History shows that all the military inventions always end up contributing the civil industrial production.”
Inventions, yes, many came earlier because of the war. Others, like television were delayed. You’re talking about a different thing now. I’m talking about the capital and production that was used for military purposes instead of building the civilian economy. The funds spent on the B-29 project and the Manhattan Project could have gone to civilian projects. The 2nd Avenue subway, for instance. It was started in the 1930’s and part of it was recently completed. Or maybe the interstate highway system could have been started earlier.

Russian casualties corroborated by publicly available data as of 29 December
And, keep in mind the majority of the causalities were soldiers from the LPR, DPR, Wagner group and Chechen militia, not regular Russian military.
Meanwhile, Ukraine has had more 500,000 causalities.

The question is why is Trump’s son promoting a path that will help expand Russia’s size? Who with good sense would consider Russian expansion to be good for the US and our military and soldiers. With two grandsons who enlisted in the US Army last year this is a very concerning question for me.
“The government expenditures helped bring about the business recovery that had eluded the New Deal.”
The question is whether without the danger necessities of the World War, would the major political parties ever have agreed to approve similar levels of government support for housing, auto production and other non defense related costs. These were primarily paid for by wages paid for war work which then flowed to other production once rationing of metals and other important materials was no longer in force. The GI Bill didn’t hurt the economy either. If government spending was not used to stimulate the economy, the post war recovery might have been much smaller.
