Characters wearing Trump costumes followed orders or manipulations from government agencies. Not all of them were aware of the real purposes of what they were doing: to feed anti-Trump images to the media and provide an excuse for indicting real Trump supporters. Making the illusion seem more credible, some of the crowd committed crimes. After months and years of mistreatment, many of the accused, including guilty and innocent, pled guilty. Lawyers representing them probably informed them what the DC juries and judges would be like.

I have been to big conservative rallies with many thousands of protesters, never witnessed any trouble at those. You believe that the actual J6 Trump supporters (not including “other” attendees) just became violent on their own? You know that Michael Byrd was not a Trump follower?

They were angry and agitated. A tinder box was created. As many testified in their trials, they believed misinformation and acted on it.

After being threatened with continued detention and mistreatment during sometimes de facto indefinite pre-trial duration, and sometimes exact long sentences.

It's possible to plan, and commit crimes without being present, but I don't trust the DOJ nor every federal judge, nor DC juries, to make that determination. And certainly not the Bennie Thompson J6 committee.

Some of them probably confessed to charges that they more or less deserved. Others may have been charged for their politics. Those who confessed to escape from the DC system or to help their families would me the ones you would describe as "lying."

And the Biden regime wants to persecute a thousand more. That is not justice.

That’s one way to look at it. Would make more sense if the “justice” system prosecuted and punished its own political allies like leftist mobs and politicians with the same zeal.

While I don’t like inequities, some is better than none. In my city, most of those caught doing real damage during Floyd were prosecuted.

Glad to hear your city is doing something. Meanwhile, other major cities are releasing a lot of arrested lawbreakers (if there are arrests), and Mayorkas is not only not stopping the entry of millions, but shipping them to points unknown. Have you heard of Cloward and Piven?

The Biden gang and allies are using the "legal system" for their dirty politics. I'm not sure even Cloward and Piven would go that far.
