Didn’t we already try this with Pence?
Piss off, Kurt. Your funny guy act wore off a long time ago. there likely won’t be an election because the blumpkin in chief before this senile scumbag traitor, like you, did not understand he was the last chance we had and HE BLEW IT.
Why don’t people understand that every vice president is “one heartbeat away” from becoming president?
How many presidential running mates actually brought votes to the ticket? Not many.
Look at a list of our vice presidents and then ask yourself, “would I vote for that person to be our next president?”
Presidential candidates need to pick running mates that would actually be good presidents, not vote getters.
No more Gores, Cheneys, Bidens, Pences and Harris’, thank you very much.
Sadly, that is what presidential elections have become.
Seems nobody votes the issues any more.
If you say you support Trump, people will ask aghast *You *LIKE* him?!?!?!
Heck, it's not about like or dislike. It's about platform.
since I don't know him personally, I can't say at all that I *like* or *dislike* him.
However, I support his platform and don't have any problem with his in-your-face-ness with liberals.
I don’t believe for one minute this writer hates the Establishment. And its not establishment. Its Uni Party Rino elites. Lets get the meaning clear!
>> Stop laughing. I am serious. I am not being ironic. It makes sense. Hear me out.
No, Kurt. You’re veering into idiot territory. TDS captures another poor soul.
No thanks.
He’s not being wholly ironic, but he does say up front that he doesn’t like Haley. If he could find somebody else who brings Trump the votes that he thinks Haley brings him he’d gladly support that person. He’s in California, so I don’t think he’s heard from all the people here who say that Haley would never get votes in the South.
Kurt, as always, is damned persuasive. I hope Trump finds a place for him in the next administration.
Trump picks Haley and I will not do the hold my nose and vote thing. Won’t even consider it. Period. End of story.
No Birdbrains please.
We’ve already had one Pence. We don’t need another.
But you want the father of a WEF Young Leader as President?
NOPE
An amazing number of conservative and moderate Republicans who dislike Trump despite the fact fact that he gave them everything they have wanted for the last 40 years because they hate his “confrontational” style( despite the fact that this Trumpian penchant for confrontation was the main reason he was able to deliver on 40 years of unfulfilled Republican policy promises that they loved so much)
All of these misguided and misinformed Republicans seem to absolutely love Niki Haley for some strange reason.
And they dislike Trump enough to not vote for him. This would change if Haley were on the ticket.
And lets face it, the only VP candidate who could be counted on 100% to not stab Trump in the back once in office is my favorite- Kari Lake. But Kari is even more polarizing than Trump and she would probably not be much help on the ticket. Plus she has a pretty darn good chance of winning a much needed Senate seat in Az
My sentimental favorite would be Tucker Carlson but he has the same limitations as Kari.
Kristy Noem is a pretty decent Gov but although she is a woman, she is not the right type of woman, so she does help with the fickle neurotic suburban female vote all that much and she hails from a small safe Republican state so she really does not help electorally.
Desantis is a non starter because he has destroyed his brand to no good purpose which kind of sucks
And despite all of her negatives, Haley is too much of an ambitious squish to try to go against Trump so he could keep her in line rather easily.
R-Boeing? How about R-India?
I think Pat Buchanan coined the “nattering nabob” phrase for Spiro Agnew, not Safire.
I like Schlichter, and I’m guessing he’s more serious than facetious with this piece, but if I had the chance to talk to him personally, I’d point out that Kennedy picked Johnson (whom he despised) just to get elected - and he got elected - but how’d it work out for JFK after that?
