...But, being a genuine Christmas carol about the birth of Christ and all, that’d be enough for Disney to pull it, too.

One of the Top Five cartoons ever! Walt Kelly was an absolute genius.
Everyone says that, but I never found it all that interesting. I never quite found Krazy Kat's storylines inspiring either.

That title almost sounds like a gay porn movie today, doesn't it?

Spent some time a while back binge-watching a lot of SCTV.
In many of the Youtube ones, sadly, a lot of the music parodies have been excised, my guess is due to rights disputes.

That song was written before the word gay became dirty.

LOL - my parents used to sing that Pogo version sometimes when I was a little kid.

Well, the homosexuals appropriating the word “gay,” which use to mean “happy,” has tarnished the word for probably all time.

But...”Sweaters” doesn’t rhyme with “Carols”!
How about:
“Don we now our cozy sweaters,
We must all OBEY our “betters”.
Fa La La La La La La La La.”
To: Lisbon1940
Who says don anymore to mean putting on clothes? My guess is that it could be the same folks who wish others "good tidings".
