Trump left the Republican party to become a Democrat, Reagan last voted for a democrat president in 1948 before he became active in campaigning for Republicans like Eisenhower in 1952 and in 56 and Nixon in 1960 and of course the big Goldwater speech in 64.
When Reagan was a democrat and voted for 2 different democrat presidents FDR and Truman, both of whom had been his commander-in-chief, so was Texas democrat at the time, his era of the democrat party of the Great Depression and WWII predated the abortion, homosexual, radical leftist anti-America party of the post-1960s.
Funny they never seem concerned that JFK wouldn’t recognize today’s Democratic Party.
Trump, as did Reagan, has a ‘soap box’ cachet that resonated around the world, hence the release of American hostages by Iran when Reagan was elected, and likewise, no wars under 45.

Trump’s Supreme Court picks were better. Reagan gave us the great Scalia but also the horrid O’Connor and the mistake Kennedy, who seemed to be more conservative than he turned out to be. Trump gave us three picks who voted to overturn Roe vs. Wade.
