Hr called for an end to all hostilities, by all parties, as early as October 7. You can't get any earlier than that.

No. The Catechism is part of the Church’s ordinary teaching authority. Pope John Paul II placed his apostolic authority behind it. Its doctrinal authority is proper to the papal Magisterium.
