I realize that it’s not a joke, street fentanyl is deadly, and drug addiction is a tragic issue for america. I do think it’s kind of funny that it’s gone from, “cops seized marijuana with an estimated street value of 200 trillion dollars” to “cops find enough fentanyl to kill everyone in america”.
I wonder how many people you could kill with 118LBS of Pfizer’s corona vax?
Seems like they frequently confiscate enough fentanyl to kill extremely large numbers of people. Hard to believe that similar amounts don’t go unconfiscated.
Seems like there ought to be a lot more dead folks than are reported.

Pardon me for being skeptical of these claims. We’ve been bombarded for years over the lethality of fentanyl, but the annual death rate is closer to 100,000 +/-. Something just doesn’t add up.
If the claims that we are only stopping a fraction of the trafficking, then why is the death rate not in the several millions? Or has law enforcement interdiction effort been 99% effective? Are the 100,000 or so people who die annually responsible for consuming the bulk of the drugs getting through? If the claims are true, one would think that the terrorists would be plotting, or have already pulled off, a mass murder event.

True story: on my first visit to Singapore (years ago) I noticed on the landing card the words,printed in bold face, "Death Penalty To Drug Traffickers Under Singapore Law". I nearly soiled my underwear when I saw it. Then,waiting in the Immigration/Customs line,there was a big sign in several languages (including English) saying the same thing. Next to the sign was a big trash can labeled "Amnesty Bin". I was so spooked that I almost threw my blood pressure meds in it...just in case.
Today it's mostly Aussies who get executed there...Singapore is a very popular vacation spot for Aussies.
