Where would the canal go?
Actually a canal across the narrowest part of Gaza or right on the Egyptian border is a great idea. Make it 50-100 feet deep and it will make it almost impossible for terrorist tunnels to be built under it. Everything going from Egypt to northern Gaza would have to move across the canal, above ground subject to Israeli surveillance.
I saw a video of a giant metal menorah in Washington DC. They lit the lights on top and played “God Bless America.”
