Much like every police department in Leftist run cities, no one with options would join the police there, and every officer still on the force who can leave, will.
It’s time for the people living in this country to start resolving their own law enforcement problems with the criminal elements out there. Cops are being killed and thrown in prison for doing their jobs. The people living in this country do not deserve law enforcement officers risking their lives for all their worthless asses.
Hire the illegals to police the illegals.

LOL - that’s the first thing I thought of. No problem if NYPD cops resign. There’s a lot of fatties to take their places and essentially do nothing.
At some point vigilantes will take over, and it won't merely be rough frontier folk justice.
It will be wars of extermination on a neighborhood level.

Wacko cities are great places for rookie cops to learn the ropes—then they can move to saner areas and enjoy the rest of their lives—live long and prosper.

When FOUR cops with a combined weight of nearly a thousand pounds can’t arrest one guy then they are not real cops in any way manner shape or form. They are an armed liability walking around waiting to donate their side arm to the first punk that decides he wants it.
My dad was NYPD for 23 years. I presently have two nephews who are NYPD- one for five years the other three years.
Both are waiting for calls from the PD’s of suburban towns so they can get out of the hellhole known as NY chitty. And from what i’m told those calls should be coming soon.

They are guaranteed unless the city goes bankrupt- which i hope happens. If the city goes bankrupt they can renegotiate the pensions.
My dad worked 23 years on the NYPD, 1966-to-1989. His pension was not 50% of his salary. The real scam is the teacher pensions which can reach to as much as $150,000 annually after 30 years. Teachers who receive a NY state/NY chitty pension while living in NY do not have to pay NY state income tax on that pension.
My 25 yo niece is in Brooklyn - rides the subway to work 3 days a week. She has had no problems & no ‘scares’ thus far. She is very naive (a lamb among wolves, frankly) - it only takes one ‘problem/scare’ to change/end your life. Bad things can happen anywhere, any time, but some places are also more high risk than others. She has mentioned maybe moving for the first time - hope she gets out unscathed.
