That's actually correct. Satan is softening up the battlefield for the debut of his Antichrist and his False Prophet. For them to reign (as they will, for the 7 years of 'Peace and Security') Satan must warp the minds of the unbelievers of the world by compromising and doubting the Word of God (as it was in the Garden of Eden).
