Are they planning for business and industry for employment or is this a plan for a city composed of citizens living on Guaranteed Basic Income? I am sure it will include total surveillance and a Social Credit local system. Utopia b[y its very nature must be stifling and mind numbing.

In Florida, I have seen a half dozen similar such walkable small cities and planned developments — and at least as many more such efforts in various stages of completion and levels of success. Tight planning, greenspace and public amenities, restrictive zoning, high incomes and property values, and low crime are essential ingredients. I wish this California effort well but do not see it as capable of bringing much of anything new to the formula.
