Iran is confused, this war is not going the way they thought it would. The US has not forced the Israelis to negotiate, although Israel will need to stop the war in about 3, maybe 6 weeks to keep their economy together (reservists will need to return to their civilian jobs by then).
What Hamas and by extension Iran overlooked is that without a credible threat by Russia to resupply the Arabs, the US has no real levers to pull to force Israel to do US bidding. Biden and his admin are caught in a vice of Dem party pressure groups, thus Bibi knows he can ignore most of Blinken’s imprecations, even if he can not just thumb his nose at Biden.
Thus the outcome is going to be what does Israel want it to be, vs what can they do to bring that about with effectively no outside actors able to materially determine the outcome.
We can remove the theocracy now or we can wait and try to do it after they have nuclear weapons.

There was no reward for Trump sparing Iranians in 2019. Iranians are still as bloodthirsty as ever.

So this reminds me of God’s command in 1 Samuel 15 to utterly destroy the Amalekites. Out of kindness the Hebrew people spared some, substituting their opinion for God’s command. One of them spared was an ancestor of the later Haman. He planned to exterminate the Jews in Persia (Iran) during the reign of Xerxes. Haman was “the son of Hammedatha the Agagite.” meaning from one of the spared enemies. (Esther 3:1)
Trump would have told them that any terror attack in the US would have been matched with an attack on Iran. And they would have believed him.
