It’s pretty easy to figure the knee jerk political response of these “elite” institutions.
If an issue has two sides, the automatic pick is the one that is less white/Caucasian. Baring that, whichever exhibits less of “the patriarchy”.

Because when you’ve committed crimes against humanity on the scale that the political left has committed, any kind of true moral clarity feels threatening and must be avoided.
My life experience, and I don’t want anyone to think I am that smart or wise, but when intelligent people, with time to think, do contrarian things, it’s usually about money. Sometimes it’s other things like mental illness, threats, blackmail, but usually it’s about money.
Most Universities have taken large amounts of money from China, much of it undeclared. That money supports institutions and professors in the life style they have become accustomed to. The young students, looking for a door into the corporate world, connections, success, and positive reinforcement of good grades will parrot what the professor wants to hear.
So, the question is what is China (the hand) telling its glove to do? I think historically this is simple. China supported the PLO. China has taken adversarial approach to The United States about Israel, since it’s been convenient to do so.
I have seen this slowly evolving over the last 20 years, infusion of destabilizing ideas into the educational system, and promotion of those youths that accept it. Timing of this brushfire was certainly coordinated with Putin and the Ayatollah in Iran. This wasn’t an event, this was a planned strategic move, obviously related to the war in Ukraine.
This action, and spending of capital, by China should tell you that potentially Russia is in deeper trouble than we think in Ukraine, which looks more like a stalemate to me.

A: Most professors, administrators and staff at such universities, are secular. They are NOT Christian or Jewish, so do not believe in the Bible or Tanakh. As such, it is easy for satan to weave his lies amongst them.
Jews are God’s chosen people and Christians are grafted on the Jewish root. satan loathes God, so he loathes Christians and Jews. satan, in his hatred of God’s chosen people, plants lies of Israel and America (as the chief evangelizing people) being ‘evil’ or supporting ‘evil’.
With so many non-believing Christians, and mohamedans, and atheists, and those of other religions; they easily buy satan’s lies, believing Israel to be the ‘little satan’ and the US being the ‘big satan’.
The spiritual warfare is growing exponentially. It certainly seems like we are rapidly entering the ‘end times’.
May God protect His people and Israel, drawing them back to Him, opening their eyes to His Presence and love, in Jesus Name.

And once again we should call out the billionaires and millionaires and corporations that removed their donations for Isreal which is understandable
BUT the donations were continued if not increased to BLM while they were burning looting murdering in the streets across this country, the woke agenda, DEI, social justice, gay lesbian and trans agenda and also the infiltration of personnel and donations from our enemies abroad. Doesn’t this also warrant the removal of donations from these “Americans”?
For students, I think it has much to do with their inability to say no to peer pressure. They’re below the fray when they should know enough to stay above it or to not get so involved in the first place.
Years of blindness about our enemies, especially on Campus, a denial of reality, too much pay for stupidity, and realising that some so-called underdogs are really evil.

Your connection of dots is very hard to argue with. Notice also in your last 20 year timeframe:
- America hating obama thrust into the American political leadership
- America cozying up with anti-Israel nations and funding them (obama/Iran) + (biden/Iran)
- Someone is behind the "creation" of obama and that entity sought to destroy America
The China linkage is plausible in a great deal of our national demise.
Pro US, pro Israel, pro Christian, pro traditional values and pro conservative views have been banned from academia for decades. Evil festers in the petrie dish of secular humanism and moral relativism.
IMO the authors are out of touch with reality. I don’t believe universities have an anti-semitism problem. They have a Marxism problem. They aren’t treating Jews any differently than they do any group they believe belongs in the bourgeoisie.
Marxists have a different culture. There are no wrong actions, only wrong people. That’s why they have no problem with the millions dead under communism. Ask them, the Soviets were OK because they killed people for political reasons.
So the answer for the authors is that Universities don’t see what was done to Israel was wrong because it was done people they consider part of the proletariat. Nothing Israel does can be right because it’s done by the bourgeoisie.
