An odd quirk—Hitler ruled Germany for pretty much the same time period that FDR was President of the US only a few weeks difference.

That depends on what is causing the dementia. A person with Alzheimer’s never improves. They just continually get worse and worse or they may plateau for a while, but do not improve.
Dementia which is caused by strokes, on the other hand, can improve as the brain learns new pathways around the damaged pathways. After a stroke, a person loses some functions. Some of them come back, but usually not to the level they were before the stroke. Having had experience with such a loved one, it is possible that this is the kind of dementia that Biden has. I think he may have suffered some kind of “vascular events” during his so-called campaign in 2020 which is why he would disappear for a while periodically
After all of Trump’s experience with the media, and being on TV, he had to know how to get more control of the situation. I am afraid that his enjoying the challenge of sparring with the media kept him from seeing these bad visuals.

They loved FDR so much, that they made a law that made the Presidency only 2 terms. My grandmother, who sent sons to die, my dad whose generation were ALL in the service, had no love for the warmonger. Almost instantly, people wanted a Republican in office, and who thought Truman was a fine President. He dropped the bombs, ended the war, and went home to retire. After that, Eisenhower won, then Nixon won, but was cheated by the DS. Then LBJ for sympathy, then Nixon, who the DS took out, Jimmy Carter because Ford was a clown, then Reagan, then Bush another war monger, same for Clinton...war crimes over the bridges in Serbia anyone? GW, part of the plan to attack or allow it on the WTC buildings? Scramble the jets, send them out over the ocean... a simple mistake? Then a missile into the Pentagon.. Obama, surrender monkey and war monger, Trump...finally negotiations, then Biden...war monger.
