If these people had been on the bench, the Democratic White Primary would still be going on, schools would still be segregated, and the Presidential Election votes in Florida would have been counted in private and without any supervision or accountability.
Are they worried about assuming ungranted authority? Interpretation of the Constitution is an assumption of authority!

Me neither, but they have to move thru this system, So the next step would be an appeal to the NYS appeals court, which is the highest court in NYS, not the NYS supreme court. Then the next step would be scotus.

No wonder Attorney General Letitia James’s sat behind Trump and gave Trump the aunt Ester beady eyed stare.
Of course, he wouldn’t be Trump if he did that.

And they made that motion right there in open court for all to see. Court has yet to rule on it.

Letitia James needs to be DISBARRED & imprisoned for spending all this money on a case that was built of expired statutes.

Yup, just like with the 2020 election when we learned that the law, whether state or federal, is now written on those magic slates with the plastic pen we had as kids. They just pick up the film the law is written on and rewrite it any way they like.

The supreme court can’t just “step in” and “do” something, a matter must be appealed to them. There is nothing to currently appeal to them - this isn’t even in Federal court.
Why can’t Trump counter-sue in federal court for election interference?
